    Just drove back to Westhill from girlfriends in the centre of town and wow what a difference 8 miles makes. It was 6C and drizzle when I left and 0C and heavy snow when I arrived which has made a good attempt lying. Still loads of flooding but thankfully I was able to take my time so no issues. Quite a remarkable day really. Hope everyone in outlying areas are OK tonight.

    I have been stuck in the queue trying to get out of Dyce for over an hour, moved less than a mile I would say. In all directions the roads seem to be flooded. I have never seen anything like this before and it's still currently raining heavily.

    Took a drive out to Braemar today and it was beautiful from Ballater onwards. They had about 5 inches in Braemar so everything was really covered. Dodgy drive back home in some serious heavy snow but great to see an unexpected covering here in Westhill too! 😊

    Indeed this is probably the best snow event of the winter for me! Very unexpected.

    Very surprised by the amount of snow this morning, wasn't expecting much to fall but it looks like approx. 2 - 3 inches in Westhill last night! Drive in to work took an hour which was 3 times longer than usual because people were getting stuck going up hills but my fiesta with winter tires didn't seem to have any trouble at all.

    Ahh great, just had a shower of light rain passing through. Radar doesn't look that great...

    Lots of rain and wet snow last night to give a very frozen crust on the ground, gives a good crunch with every step! Went for a walk up the hill and caught this good photo as a heavy shower was moving in.

    Woo the snow is fairly coming down here as well right now and covering everything nicely. I know it won't last but I'm loving having the chance to watch everything get covered!

    Its just started snowing moderately here in Dyce after starting out as rain. Its not lying at all but its awesome to see some of the white stuff! It has been too long.

    Thicker cover than I expected this morning, around an inch. Crisp with beautiful clear skies now. Strangely none of the hills and mountains inland from here that I can see have any snow on them so it looks like us in and around Aberdeen got very lucky this morning.

    Impressive looking clouds to my southwest at the moment. Hopefully something springs up a bit closer.

    Those really are huge flakes, sooo much better than the miniature stuff we have had for two weeks.

    Around an inch here now, with the grass almost completely gone! Mini drift against garage wall already.

    Snow covering the road now, its been going at a moderate level for quite a while.

    Starting to get the slightest of coverings on the grass! It is slow going though since each shower only last about 5 seconds.
