  1. According to the 0z sounding last night those temps give CAPE right through the atmosphere up to around 28000ft
  2. Just be patent guys and girls. I am sat here like most of you, with camera ready, laptop wired into the car, mobile internet with money on it. Ready to hit the road but I am patently waiting for things to fall in to place. After all we have no control of this.
  3. This looks promising http://www.estofex.org/cgi-bin/polygon/showforecast.cgi?lightningmap=yes&fcstfile=2011043006_201104281419_1_stormforecast.xml
  4. Snow_Joke i hear what you are saying but many people in the US do understand the threat but not the risk, many stock pile supplies. Most people in the states have not seen a natural disaster but they get warnings of them every year so its and old case of 'it wont happen to me' i am afraid.
  5. Only take the %'s as a rough guide, what will happen will happen. It's been around 6 years since I forecasted on here and cant remember what values the % takes in but I am sure it was not all of them although things may have changed since then. Paul should be able to give you a clue of what values are included.
  6. I should have stayed in Wako instead of moving to Tyler lol
  7. and another one has just gone up just east of Little Rock
  8. Oh I can imagine, I get it every time I pass through customs. "what was the nature of your visit with all these knives to one of the biggest drug smuggling countries outside of Columbia?". "Running a Jungle survival course Officer" "what in the jungle" "yes officer in the jungle, 3 days travel up stream from the nearest village" "are you mad or just insane?" "nether officer, I chase storms in my spear time officer" lol US customs are the worse. Anyway back on subject....
  9. Damn man 23 kg! Your taking socks, pants and wash kit whats wrong with you? That dry line is well defined now, i think i might move too. Maybe to Tyler
  10. Its a weekday so I expect there wont be many Yahoos out on the road. I think most chasers will start From Arkansas and Mississippi today. I want to start SE of the cells and then scoot east and try to get into any clear slots that form. Just my opinion.
  11. Hmmm i think i would place myself in Waco on the 35 at least then i could head east and north, I am just wondering if i have placed myself a little bit to far north.
  12. They could lol. Tom it is one to watch but i have a feeling it will all come together. I am packing me hammock in the car just in case Friday potential takes me down SW I will stealth camp Friday night if not near home and be ready to move to to any storms on Saturday. Thats the plan at the moment but time will tell. The meto are suggesting Friday and Saturday at the moment and I am sure they are throwing some extra resources at it because its an important day. Anyway I am sure the weather gods will be having a party as Mr Sherman is leaving the country! That has to be a good omen lol
  13. Caravan down in the SW? I think there is potential for some activity Friday and Saturday right across southern England.
  14. Yeah it looks as if Kris Hair is trying to get into position on it, Cant see the the tornado yet but can see the wall cloud.
  15. LOL Gene Yates windscreen has just been popped by hail. God knows why he has driven up through the hail core he was well placed earlier down on the SW right on the edge of the cell but then decided to shoot up north.
  16. It looks as if two more hook echo's are forming on that system. Looks like a busy afternoon for the guys out there.
  17. Randy Denzer just reported a funnel. he is in the area of the Hook Echo on Fox 4 http://weather.wdtinc.com/popout/index.php?M=13192&C=20643&O=10008
  18. Hey Tom I really thought today I would be leaving the lovely people of this group but I am here to stay I think.
  19. As I thought Steve, cheers for looking.
  20. Thats it I am calling it a day. We were let down by the sea breeze it just was not strong enough to form a CZ. Oh well it was the best day i have had for a very long time.
  21. i fear you are right John but there is still a small chance. Much longer though and i will be calling it a day. Those of you that commented about the Cu around Portsmouth and Havant can you have a look and see if it has dispersed? I cant see it not but it might just be hidden in the haze.
