Currently in a caravan at a well known holiday park branch in Porthmadog, Wales and already the van is shaking like crazy! Gotta say I’m very worried for this weekend’s events.

Definitely isn’t a frost! It’s like the top of a Victoria Sponge at the minute but it’s definitely snowing

Update: It is now snowing in Rugby and has dusted the pavements. I guess with the ground being dry anything falling is settling easily.

Well just had a look out the window and I can assure you nothing is falling in Rugby. Part of me wants to stay up a little later but the other part of me wonders whether it’s worth my time

It's still quite heavy here, going to bed to wake up in 5 hours. Hopefully it'll still be snowing. It's been nice to have some proper snow (even though it's only been a cm or two) at last. Will make the most of it as I fear this is our lot for this winter.

The joys of working in petrol stations part time at weekends!! Sleep just isn't an option haha.

Beautiful out there, had to just have a little walk around haha. About a cm, not sure how the Met have me down for more than 6 hours left of it though, as the radar suggests it's almost over! I'm up for work at 6am so I'll find out I'm sure.

Ooh something is settling! Surprised considering the ground was so wet. Doesn't look like much ppn on the radar though?

It's just sleet and wet everywhere. So so disappointed, it looked so promising earlier. Looking at the radar we won't be getting much else.

Met Office have me down for Heavy Snow until Midnight and Light snow until 6am. What?

Well I am gutted, can the met office stop getting my hopes up and change it from Heavy Snow at 9pm... Been a very frustrating day.

Well I'm bored of holding out hope, doesn't look like much is going to happen. If it snows it snows, losing the will to actually care now.

Nothing's dropped here yet, taking a walk out to Tesco later when it's due to hit properly so will report then.

Awesome. Never knew about that site. Cheers Temp is dropping and at 1.8c, dewpoint -0.2C, hopefully we can get something. Even a cm, something white is all I want

Is it me or is it all fizzles out and getting patchy? Is that stuff up north supposed to come directly south or will it just miss us?

Well we've now got mostly sleet forecast. Can't say I'm surprised. Always the way. Hopefully we will be pleasantly shocked, never mind...

Still looking alright for tonight here according to the Met Office but I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. I just want some snow that lasts a day. Is that too hard to ask?

That's a lovely upgrade to wake up to. Snow pushed to start earlier tonight with heavy snow for 6 hours, and snow continuously for 12? Yes please! Still a bit sceptical.

Well it's gone from snow, to clear, to snow, to just a few hours Sunday morning according to the MO. I literally can't take it seriously anymore.
