    Makes a change to have a snow symbol from the MetO for tonight. The towel is very nearly thrown in.

    Bins are everywhere. Gate has been thrust open and the lock broken. Very scary, sleepless night head

    I was actually discussing this with someone earlier strangely enough. I do feel that we are. Which has to be a good thing.

    Pretty heavy rain here. I have to walk to the train station at 6am tomorrow, slightly worried about that if the low is a bit further north

    This is the first storm I've followed closely. Not posting much but this is very fascinating for me. I have to walk over a mile tomorrow so slightly concerned about the trains in my area although I understand it won't be so bad here (although seeing reports it is further north). Stay safe all you down there.

    Bit concerned on the trains tomorrow, my partner works nights and will be getting a train from Northampton to Rugby at 6am Monday morning. Is there likely to be disruption?

    Pretty cool compared to the past nights. Still a bit too warm for comfort but it doesn't feel as uncomfortable as the other nights. 16.1C here.

    Max of 27.7 today. Felt so warm, breeze has only just started coming through.

    Feels so hot today! So much for Tuesday being the rest bite!! Absolutely scorching walking to the train station in rugby!

    So sweaty! Can't sleep, even with the window open its too hot. I love summer and I love extreme heat don't get me wrong, but its the nights I really hate.

    Looking forward to a nice BBQ and chilled out evening in the garden tonight. It's been a long time since we've been able to sit in shorts late at night. Was walking home yesterday at 11.30pm in shorts and a t shirt - bliss!
