    anyone remember a similar setup must be about 4 years ago - when we had a conveyor of storms head in from the East ? have a feeling it was this time in the year as well - was certainly early in the season

    absolutely chucking it down in Chelmsford now - torrential rain and loud thunder - great stuff - better than Summer imports this

    something is stirring to the east of Essex according to radar - interesting evening ahead I feel

    very very odd sky in the S-East this evening - quite unlike I've seen in a while lots of very high upper level clouds - mid-grey - but then dark grey mid-lower cloud that just looks like its cloud thats been shredded - more like the ripped apart scud you get associated with decent Cbs its quite strange looking. Associated with it is light rain - but very large drops

    must have been very very localised - spoke to my parents that literally live 1/4 of a mile away - and they didn't notice anything around that time not even a thunderstorm

    bbc weather this morning seemed up-beat for this afternoon for south too - I too am surprised at lack of activity on here

    we still have the odd patch (tiny) of snow left in Essex but in reality - even only yeesterday did the final parts go - thats pretty impressive

    just re-subribed to netw radar - and Chelmsford is literally about 10 miles too far east - hence why Ongar etc getting snow but we had our fair share last weekend so can't complain

    its mid-green ... so should be quite heavy .... evaporation must still be going on ...
