  1. Just had quite a heavy shower of wet snow on the south of Aberdeen Not lying at all and has now brightened up considerably. Potentially a bit more to come according to radar.
  2. Nipped out for a sarnie at lunchtime and it read 16 degrees outside... Had a lovely spring feel to it.
  3. 5 degrees in Aberdeen but wind certainly has a bite to it this morning. Might get an occasional flurry but certainly nothing to get excited about.
  4. So the cold from the east is nearly "nailed on" for later in the week. Could be a weekend of lampost watching on the cards ????
  5. Yep. Quite a nice morning here now. Was a bit blowy last night. Had a peep into the MT this am and it appears that easterly is off , its back on , its off , its back on, winters over , the beast is back.... ZZZzzzzzzz
  6. This is going to sound really weird but can anyone else "smell" seasons. When I left for work this morning I definitely had that sense of spring. ( no , I havent been drinking !! )
  7. To be honest, its been great fun dipping my toes into the model thread and trying to educate myself on reading models this winter but spring cant come quickly enough for me. Real cold and snowy weather just seems to be out of our reach this winter. Looking forward to the lighter mornings and evenings.
  8. Snow showers appear to be just north of Balmedie and heading east into the North Sea. Some seriously dark clouds just a couple of miles from us.
  9. Light covering of snow this am. Still -1 outside and some dark looking clouds about. Might get a bit more before the mild kicks in tomorrow
  10. Quite a chunky snow shower in Aberdeen city centre at the moment.
  11. Snow warnings that were in place for the east coast tomorrow now dropped.
  12. Woke to find the covering of snow we did have completely disappeared. 4 degrees and wet. To be fair, the Meto forecast was spot on for this area. Heres hoping its spot on for tonight/tomorrow as we are in for some snow.
  13. Snowing quite heavily and settling here on the east coast !!
  14. crisp 4 degrees this morning on the coast. Got colder as I got to work. Looks like tonight into tomorrow our best shout for a bit of snow.
  15. Well the gritters are certainly out in force in Aberdeen.... Must have a stock pile of last years salt to get through !!
  16. Was a bit surprised that there wasnt warnings out last night for the wind. It was certainly blowin a hoolie out with us. Just got very dark all of a sudden with a blast of sleety rain. Meto keep changing the warnings for the next couple of days. Likely to be far too close to the sea for any snow with us but those of you lucky to get some over the next few days.. enjoy.
  17. The Meto have also just updated the warnings to cover the North east of Scotland as well. Not too sure if the snow will come this far east or indeed it will be cold enough but we can all but hope.
  18. Decent day here on the coast. 9 degrees but felt a lot colder in the wind. Went for a walk at Newburgh beach. Loads of nosey seals swimming about.
  19. A positively balmy 12 degrees when I got to work this morning.
  20. Even snowing on the east coast. First of season. Kids delighted ( and me ) hope you all had a great Xmas.
  21. Merry Christmas folks. Hope Santa is good to you all!
  22. the model thread appears to have mislaid the plot again... I thought I had mastered the thumb screen scroll so that I only read the more reputable posters but even that is getting more and more difficult. Forgot to mention got to 10 here in Aberdeen but soon dropped to 6 on way home.
  23. Just keeping above freezing here on the coast.. +1 at the moment. Interesting tweet from Matt Hugo this evening about "something brewing" and "stay tuned....."
  24. Got to +4 this afternoon but seemed a lot colder in the wind.. A bit gloomy atmosphere in model thread if you are after cold.
