Just had quite a heavy shower of wet snow on the south of Aberdeen Not lying at all and has now brightened up considerably. Potentially a bit more to come according to radar.
Yep. Quite a nice morning here now. Was a bit blowy last night. Had a peep into the MT this am and it appears that easterly is off , its back on , its off , its back on, winters over , the beast is back.... ZZZzzzzzzz
This is going to sound really weird but can anyone else "smell" seasons. When I left for work this morning I definitely had that sense of spring. ( no , I havent been drinking !! )
To be honest, its been great fun dipping my toes into the model thread and trying to educate myself on reading models this winter but spring cant come quickly enough for me. Real cold and snowy weather just seems to be out of our reach this winter. Looking forward to the lighter mornings and evenings.
Woke to find the covering of snow we did have completely disappeared. 4 degrees and wet. To be fair, the Meto forecast was spot on for this area. Heres hoping its spot on for tonight/tomorrow as we are in for some snow.
Was a bit surprised that there wasnt warnings out last night for the wind. It was certainly blowin a hoolie out with us. Just got very dark all of a sudden with a blast of sleety rain. Meto keep changing the warnings for the next couple of days. Likely to be far too close to the sea for any snow with us but those of you lucky to get some over the next few days.. enjoy.
The Meto have also just updated the warnings to cover the North east of Scotland as well. Not too sure if the snow will come this far east or indeed it will be cold enough but we can all but hope.
the model thread appears to have mislaid the plot again... I thought I had mastered the thumb screen scroll so that I only read the more reputable posters but even that is getting more and more difficult.
Forgot to mention got to 10 here in Aberdeen but soon dropped to 6 on way home.
Just keeping above freezing here on the coast.. +1 at the moment.
Interesting tweet from Matt Hugo this evening about "something brewing" and "stay tuned....."
