  1. Defrosted the car at 5:15 this morning to take o/h to the station, it has frosted up again! Temperature was -4.9 then. It's a gloriously clear morning here now, temperature is -3.8. ( I can't entirely vouch for the thermometer, it's less then a meter from the wall on my balcony.) CD
  2. Ouch, that's harsh this hour of the day! I think you are warming up......for your clubbing stint tonight, lol CD
  3. How does this run reflect on Peter Cockcroft's forecast earlier this evening? CD
  4. Might be easier to list those who are likely to miss out! (She says, desperately hoping that Thurrock won't be on that list) CD
  5. Yes, snow - lots of!! Now pick me another location!! Heck, Coast, you've set yourself a task there, lol!!! CD
  6. Temperature went up to +0.8 but is now dropping again, +0.6 now. Had a brief glimpse of blue sky but appears to be clouding over again. Meggy, I live just by the woods that lead down to the Mardyke. Still plenty of frost on the shadier trees and bushes and on the grass. As you saiid, beautiful in the sunlight. CD
  7. Hi Meggy Sorry about late response, popped to Sainsbogs! Don't get me on a soapbox about cars and lights! Argh, and the murky grey coloured car drivers appear to be the worst offenders. Anyway regarding the weather, car thermometer reads -2c, still foggy! CD
  8. Very informative and easily understood read, Steve. Thanks for taking the time to post. CD
  9. I think the only white flakes I'll get to see are from the soap powder plant in Grays! Ugh. CD
  10. Sky is looking dark over the river from where I am in South Ockendon! CD
  11. Left for work at 4:50 ths morning, nothing to suggest that even a flake of snow fell here! Car thermometer read 1.0c but the breeze was bitterly cold. Left work at 7:50, clear sky, sunrise, but doors had frozen shut on one side of the car, had to scrape ice off windscreen and car thermometer was reading -1.0c. Looking lovely out there now, nice drop of sunshine, but glad I'm inside. CD
  12. It's been said before, I know, but the whatever the weather, we'll weather the weather, whether it be fine or foul! CD
  13. You'd better seek shelter, I reckon they could do some serious damage, or, suffocate you!
  14. Hi, Meggy, I'm in S.Ock too! Defo larger flakes out there now! Doesn't seem to be settling though. CD
  15. Love the description, it fits the scene I'm watching at the moment in Thurrock! CD
