  1. Many people have posted with eloquent poignancy expressions of condolence to you John on the loss of your father, may I too echo these thoughts and sympathy at this sad time. Congratulations to Leemondo on the safe delivery of Noah! This morning's read was such a roller coaster! Good people on this thread! CD
  2. Lol, S.Ock versus Supercell, bring it on!!! CD Thanks for all the hard work, Tom
  3. Aw, Paul, I don't think I have even seen that for the past two years. Beggars can't be choosers, I suppose. cD Oo! Snowing here again, tiny flakes though!!
  4. Snow Depth Cup South Ockendon reporting: At 5am snow depth on the front wall was 0.5cm, on the roof of my car where it had been settling for a lot longer there was 1.5cm. But the is very little left on either, now. I was amazed by how "weighty" the snow was as I removed it from the car this morning. Our last snowfall in Jan was all light and fluffy. What fell overnight seemed to be ideal igloo snow, it formed blocks quite readily. I did enjoy the rain to snow setup, and for the first time I saw snow settling on wet roads and paths. Around 1am the whole street was white with a layer of snow. Yum! CD
  5. Well, I'm off to bed now, have a 4:30am start. Welcome again Gary, keep 'em smiling! Good night peeps! May tomorrow bring what we wish for. CD Guess the red warning was switched on for me, then! Hahaha
  6. After all this blathering, I've lost the thread! So, weather wise, where exactly do we stand? Precisely in ruddy no man's land! CD
  7. I wonder if curries in the Shetland isles are smaller than those in Suffolk and Clydesdale? CD
  8. Dearo law!!!! I now believe that there is such a thing as "too much" information. In the space of 24 hours we've done a complete circle!! CD
  9. If you take a look at some of the place names (Sandwich, Braintree, Billerica), I think a few of them did!!! Although, I appreciate that it probably wasn't in a quest for more snow! CD
  10. I was surprised to see frost this morning, I woke up several times overnight and thought I saw cloud cover! CD
  11. Ok, I know I'm not well, but can't help feeling really cheesed off! For this part of south west Essex this winter has promised so much but actually delivered very little. A few crisp mornings and a couple of snow flurries, otherwise not much different to last autumn! CD
  12. Aw, thank you Meggy! I am a firm believer in Billy Connolly's philosophy, it's never the wrong weather, its the wrong clothes! You got the kit, you like the weather! CD
  13. You know, being immobilised in bed with flu has its recompense! I can see the loveliest baby blue sky streaked with golden clouds. Apparently it is darn cold out there, but I've got an internal furnace keeping my temperature positively tropical!! CD
