Browsing around regional threads. TBH, not looking great. Most of the blob appears to be anaprop (precip that isnt really there or is so light it fizzles before hitting ground) NO reports of anything from EA where the blob has been overhead for some for more than an hour. Its apparently on the north kent coast as well, eg Ramsgate, but even the keenest snow watchers report "something in the wind"... From the NW front, Mids thread reports a whopping 3-4mm of snowfall. And I think it' be weaker by the time it reaches us, assuming it will do as progged and actually does ;(

yes, please -- will be interested to see how the NW front approaches. Raintoday radar prediction now says it never reaches Kent,, and slides off to the south, whilst we see airflow from the NOrth Sea still. Can this be right???? Also interested in how the blob is manifesting on the N/NE kent coast. Radar says its arrived. Has it intensified?

Hes very quiet. Last I heard he was stocking up on bread & milk and was last seen heading out of Tesco @ 4pm with two weeks supply of fresh water, and a few camping gas stoves in the light of a secret council forecast of 8 feet of snow for the next fortnight!

According to radar, West London should be seeing the 1st precip from the NW front at or just after 10. See, we kentish gits do think of you over in the west. Just keep the front to yourselves for now, dont want it blasting convective showers out of the way for us!

The blob is landing.... wonder why the stuff hasnt materialized in EA thread, but good for us , light snow in Ashford, Deal, Sandwich and ramsgate reported already!

..assuming its not "ghost" radar. The worrying thing is that where the blob has apparently made landfall in EA, no-one in that thread is reporting snow. But there are still a few flakes in the breeze in Ashford.

Looking at radar, I reckoned the blob should be making landfall by now in the EA thread, so I looked: and Front edge of the precipitation band has just moved over my house according to the radar and.............. Nothing outside, yet ...I didn't find ;( awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Is should've said this is moving west and south. So, as long as you know where you are on the map, you dont have to keep asking, "will it snow in...."

They are understaffed and not reactive enough @ weekends, simples! Much of what you see is recorded earlier.

who else thinks the BLOB and the front from the NW will meet somewhere around the hastings area? we could do with the front slowing down now, much rather whats in the N sea reaches us.
