    Might *just* be ok -- extremely marginal. Height helps and if the friggin dp would get off it stubborn 2.4 butt here, I'd be most grateful! Loooking now for a sudden and dramatic drop as the flow turns more to the north, and later from the NE. We have some of the highest DPs around in Kent at the mo, sadly.

    Damn That means it arriving too quickly for the temps and dps to drop enough! In fact raintoday forecast for 2am shows sleet for virtuallly all of Kent, except on the North Downs. Bu66er

    Ashford is right in the middle of kent, really, estuary has to be at least 30 miles north, I guess. London is to the north west and is abt 60-70 miles away as the rook flies

    Actually it wont come on with the thermostat - its too warm Dp IS falling, but not at a fast enough rate. After all, its half past eleven. Hopefully licker won't come ti at least 3, with the north-easterlies. Might drop a bit by then...

    That would be a top end estimate. Bear in mind the 6 inch figure is in the sweet spot where dps and temps remain below zero, and the guy has a little elevation. Perhaps 1 or 2 cm more likely, IMO
