  1. Some decent looking 12z charts this evening.. We have been here many times before only for the cold the be pushed back and the Atlantic to take over. Hopefully this time we will get the cold and snow many of us are looking for
  2. Hi everyone, here are a few snaps from Glencoe I took on New Year’s Day. Let’s hope there is more snow around in the next few weeks
  3. Heavy snow at the moment but it will probably turn to rain soon. The kids are away out to enjoy it while it lasts
  4. Just looked back at your post, great job! The kids will be delighted when they wake up to this soon..
  5. A nice drive home tonight, hopefully a sign of good things to come this winter.
  6. Hi all, I have not posted since last winter I think . I hope everyone is well. Just on the way home from work in East Kilbride and it’s snowing quite heavily near Newton Mearns. I wasn’t expecting anything so it is a nice surprise and a good start to winter
  7. Bella the dog enjoying the view from my parents house. Let’s hope for some snow next week!
  8. Still plenty of interest early next week, I just hope it’s cold enough for snow at lower levels. Looking very good for the mountains and ski resorts
  9. Still about 8 or 9 days away but all the models hinting at a change to a cold and snowy PM flow with plenty of potential after that. Hopefully this is the change we need to get out of the dross we are currently going through
  10. The charts are finally showing some cold and snow potential around the 16th starting with a potent PM flow. Fingers crossed
  11. Happy New Year everybody! Not much snow on the ground here despite a good few hours of moderate snowfall overnight. Still had a nice walk around the local area. I have not had a look at the latest models or checked the model thread but hopefully this month will provide some decent snowfall for more of us
  12. If you happen to see a grown man throwing snowballs at his kids then you will know it’s me
  13. All the best for the New Year folks! I will believe it when I see it… Higher areas such as East Kilbride and Eaglesham moor might do well. If that’s the case then a 10 min drive to enjoy a walk in the snow on New Year’s Day
  14. I need to organise a wee trip up to the Highlands soon to get my snow fix. I am fed up with all this rain, tomorrow looks awful
  15. Not much snow here so decided to take the kids ice skating at Elfingrove in Glasgow. Good fun was had by all despite falling on my backside a couple of times
  16. Merry Christmas everyone, have a good one! We still have plenty of snow chances over the next 2 to 3 months. Let’s hope the models start hinting at a change as we head into the new year ️
  17. There is still a lot of uncertainty whether it will be a white Christmas or not. The models are all over the place. The further north you are the better chance you have I guess. At least the chance is there unlike recent winters when we already knew that it would be mild and wet a week before the big day. Fingers crossed that at least some of us can wake up to a white Christmas
  18. The latest 18z is looking great! Cold air pushing south around the 23rd with heavy snow, especially around the borders. Hopefully it shows a similar outlook in the morning and the other models joining in.
  19. Good day everyone, I have not posted for a long time (probably last winter). It’s good to see the forum going strong with great posts and pictures as usual. Hopefully I can contribute more posts over time as my shift has changed to better hours which means I have more time to myself and to spend with the kids. It was very sad to read the news about Puffy, I really enjoyed reading his posts. Not much in the way of snow here recently but some brutally low temperatures making everything frosty and white. The local walks are so much better with a covering of frost and bright winter sunshine Fingers crossed for a white Christmas, a good chance going by the latest output
