Yes I zoomed into the Euro4 and it looks promising for our area but I will believe it when I see it for real Some folk on here are in for a real treat over the next couple of days that’s for sure!

It certainly looks interesting for the central belt. The Meto updated forecasts are showing heavy snow symbols for the Glasgow area and even parts of the west coast. Hopefully @Mr Frost will get his deserved dumping of snow. Not seen him on here for a few days?

I always feel the same here being too far west and further south to get anything during an easterly. I had the same feeling back in 2018 but we got a good dumping of snow, not as much as further east obviously but more than enough to keep myself and the kids happy for days I can also remember a few snow events when I was a young boy and teenager getting lots of snow showers and streamers moving in from the east. In my old house where I lived with my parents my bedroom faced East. I still remember to this day sitting watching snow showers and streamers move in towards me from the East. Anything is possible over the next few days and I won’t be disappointed if I do miss out as I have had 3 decent snow events this winter so far. This thread will be busy as many of us are in for a good dumping I feel

Don’t look at the forecasts, just look at the radar and yer lamp post over the next few days.

The North Sea snow machine looks like it’s firing up? I just hope some of the showers/streamers make it through to give some of us western members some snow. All to play for over the next few days, good luck to everyone

Let the cold Easterly winds arrive before worrying about if it will snow or not. Anything is possible in this upcoming setup. It will come down to nowcasting which makes me excited

Difficult driving conditions on the way home last night, this was only 5 mins up the road.. No snow at home though and it’s now raining in the higher parts here washing all the snow away. Hopefully we get some decent streamers forming making it through the central belt all the way to the west coast. I would love to see @Mr Frost get snow, if anyone deserves a good dumping it’s you Fantastic pictures above from everyone and even more snow to come for those areas. Very exciting spell of weather coming up with snow possible anywhere. It will be all down to nowcasting once the Easterly sets it. Come on the North Sea snow machine!!

Haha that was my footsteps I was jumping back like a kangaroo so I didn’t ruin the snow and so I could get a picture to show how deep it was. A few folk were looking at me wondering what the grown man was doing jumping about in the snow

Just took a wee drive up to the wind farm and snow is pretty deep

Tricky drive home tonight . There was lots of gritters about so the roads should be ok by morning.

Heavy snow here now, not settling....yet I will be heading to East Kilbride soon to work. I imagine it will already be white up there
