  1. Distant thunder heard at about 1455hrs today. Gradually moved closer until storm was overhead with several close strikes with immediate close "bang" thunder.Occasional rumbles since then and still going on!
  2. I don't think it is possible for ANY forecaster to say it will definitely rain in Kidderminster or not! And it is certainly impossible for anyone to say there will or won't be storms, only what the likelihood is. The "Will it thunder?" feature on the homepage, if you have checked it, only showed a 35% chance of storms for Kidderminster for today. Therefore, there was a 65% that there wouldn't be any. Not really a high forecast for storms. Currently it shows as a 51% chance for Friday so the odds are, as it stands, slightly more in your favour. As far as here goes, it has been moderate to heavy showers on and off since early this afternoon so the forecast wasn't wrong.
  3. Another shower here now but much heavier. If the last one we had is anything to go by, this will intensify as it moves NE.
  4. Just had a shower here for about 10 minutes, first rain for a couple of weeks or so. Lovely smell No thunder yet though but looking black with some TCu to the SW.
  5. A cell has appeared on radar just to the East of me in the last 30 minutes that I think is is heading your way Supacell EDIT : Look like that cell is dying away
  6. I just "Googled" this and found a description of Sporadic E. It seems the jury is out on how it occurs, but one theory is a connection with thunderstorms . Full description here http://www.radio-electronics.com/info/prop.../sporadic_e.php. Hope this helps
