    A belated report of a second thunderstorm between 1.03pm and approx 1.40pm on 12th June at home.

    Woken by thunder at 6.38am. A few flashes and rumbles until about 7.15am followed by a heavy shower but all quiet now.

    Thunderstorm over Birmingham city centre from 1840 until about 1900hrs. My first local storm of 2006.

    I have used this method too when I have been out and about. I don't think the particular frequency matters too much. I just usually find a station with something I don't mind listening to between crackles :lol:

    Here are a trio from me. First one taken on 18th March from the A9 somewhere between Perth and Inverness. Remaining 2 taken at dusk on 22nd March near Beauly in the Scottish Highlands. Hope u like em. We were lucky with the snow whilst we were there!!

    Well, I made it home in one piece. Snowing quite heavily all the way but it has stopped here now and left a covering of about 2 cm (side roads included!) Edit: Light snow started again at 7.25.

    Heavy snow started here at 0540. Snow now sticking to all surfaces. Should be a fun drive home!!

    Still snowing at 4.20am. Smaller flakes than earlier though. Slight covering on parked cars.

    Light snow in Brum since around midnight. Larger flakes since about 1.30am but not sticking to wet surfaces.

    Currently 3.1c and foggy here. Overnight low recorded of -0.6c. Vis. approximately 100 m.

    Light snow at home in Walsall from about 12pm. Snow heavier from approximately 1220pm onwards. About 1cm on the car when I left for work at 1250pm. Here in Birmingham it has been snowing on and off since I arrived here at 1320. Currently snowing lightly at 1425.

    Finally some snow in Walsall!! Started to snow quite heavily at around 12pm and has been on and off ever since. Approximately 2 cm's here since then (140m ASL) and still snowing at the moment though not as heavy as it has been.

    Torrential rain and gusty winds in Birmingham City Centre at 0505 for about 5 minutes whilst I was stuck at work followed by more general rain until about 0530.

    3 rumbles of distant thunder here around 1750. No lightning seen though.
