Still rain here or wet sleet!

Ok going to call it Shleetle now. That's small wet Sleet mixed in with small rain drops!

You guys in the east are stil in the heavy stuff. I am in the lighter stuff and it's rain. More incoming but just not happy about these uppers! P.S I am supposed to be doing cross country at Kilmarnock. Was hoping it would get called off. However Fenwick Moor could be snowy!

Yep we will get hee haw here. already 2c at 390ft. Really beginning to think our snow will just never come this year.Depressing!

Go to met office warnings changed yet again. Now yellow for Central Tayside. A hell of a lot of shifting goalposts going on.

Well I reckon for once I am in a good area. 5 miles South East of Falkirk 390ft altitude surely this time?

I think all is still to play for at the moment. I mean the warning on Meto stretches up as far as South Lanarkshire. It would not take a shift of more than 20 miles for most folk east and south of Glasgow to get snow!

Friday Midnight stand facing the west and blow as hard as you can.This Eastern high needs all the help it can get....I have a sneaky that the forecast tomorrow night will not be the same as tonight. But if we get rain then so what at least the ski resorts will get pasted. Hoping to go to Glenshee on Sunday!

BBC and METO like the rest of us will not actually know where the warmer air will stall at present until a few hours out. I am just going to wait till Saturday morning to see how warm it gets!

We try to stay positive on the Tartan Thread. However I don't think even the most optimistic person could be bothered pretending this has been a decent winter. 2 days of frost in November no snow. December maybe 10 frost days but only 3 snow days I can remember. January one day of wet snow gone in a day 7 frost days. There is nothing we can do about it unfortunately that's just not in our gift.

It's the only time I watch the weather forecast and don't care what the weather is!

i know the feeling how many chances have we had and been left with nothing. Got to be up there with the worst January in terms of snow for a long time.

This must be one of the most frustrating winters. Everytime there is a hint of snaw it gets snatched away or the uppers are too warm. The lamposts are getting lonely as most of us have given up watching them at night!

Aye it's awfy quiet and nae sign of any snaw on the radar! 2c in Edinburgh. Might be working in sunny Glasgow soon if I get this job!

Well the good thing is it's a nice cold fresh week. However snow chances are very poor for scotland until Saturday. Having said that the models,bbc and meto change on a daily basis.

Don't have any snow here but the Ochils look great snow above 1000ft. We have frost and ice instead!

I like to take a risk sometimes. I think we will see light snow tonight west of the central belt.The temperatures predicted for today are way higher than the actual. I still have 0.5c here and the bbc and ITV have 5c max.

Are we getting excited about the warm/cold front battle on Sunday? Or is this just a lot of hyperbole!
