I think it's that old word marginal again. The uppers are a bit worrying as they are only sitting at between 0 and -2 usually need at least -4 -5 for good snow. However I am going to be optimistic and say that we will get some snow overnight!

Nothing here yet although the radar suggests light showers...still just below freezing!

I think the snow might even survive the light drizzle tonight. Seems to be snowing just above Dunblane as well so it's quite marginal!

It's snowing in Glen Ogle...not sure anywhere below 600ft will see any snow tonight!

2 inches here...nice...just back from a 10k trail run in the snow in the woods...nature at it's finest...cannae whack it!

Satelite rather than the rainfall radar seems to suggest some of that snow will transfer south tonight. Fingers crossed for a light dusting in most places!

Correct it is forecast...not sure where it is coming from though! However last night the BBC and Met office got the snow in the North East wrong...do you think they are guessing!

I was watching the radar and thought ...whit are the BBC talking about. I saw the band of heavy showers coing through why didn't they. Too busy going on about Blizzards in the North East that never materialised.P.S Dry at work in Edinburgh so far!

Yeh my point exactly most offices shut at 2pm Edinburgh. Ours was open til 5pm. I had to get to Falkirk by car so left at 3.15pm got to make your own judgment calls sometimes after all it's just a job..Quite annoid with that attitude I know better than the Government and police..p.s I have to make the time back!

Wondered how long it would be before the boss at my work said. what was all the stushie about people panic in this country. Just because I sent an email yesterday on police and governement advise not to travel between 2-6. Funny how some folk just ignore advice...the police have their work cut out.

BBC say no snow for the central belt until Saturday 6am...We will see if they are right. When that rain band comes south keep your eyes on the temperature.

Just in very windy in Falkirk hairy car journey from Edinburgh but made it. 4.8c that big blob on the rainfall radar is headed south. Will it be cold enough?

Their whisky is rotten however...Bushmills or Jamieson's both rough!
