Yes I get the feeling we seem to be having a permanent Autumn type weather rather than seasons. I have thought this for a while. We had a warmer day in November in Scotland at 18c than we did for some days in July. What does this mean? Well we have historically always had dips and troughs and crazy mild temps in the winter. What I don't think is the same is that we seem to have just constant mildness. The pattern is above average, mild, average, cool. But there does not seem to be any cold periods. This is the worst autumn I can remember. The 4000ft mountains in Scotland are bare! There has been one frost and it's the 18th of November! I get the feeling winter is cancelled this year!
