Goodness me, I didn't realise how much snow had come down, we've had an extra 2in in top of the lying 4in. Very powdery, some beautiful flakes landed on my black ski gloves whilst collecting my child from school.
-
Can I request a brief snow pause between 3-4pm so I can do the school run? Lol
-
Coming down heavier here now.
-
Snowing here since 8am, albeit light.
-
We've had 3-4in of lying snow since Monday, its frozen - going nowhere fast! The main roads are clear but the side roads and pavements are like ice rinks. Add to this whatever we've had today and will get tomorrow and locally we'll have quite an accumulation.
-
Still snowing here, has been heavier since around 3pm. I'd say we've had 2-3cm today.
Anybody seen the latest fax charts!!this front just sits stagnant over the midlands for the next 48 hours !!😃
How much can we expect?
-
Its been snowing lightly in Sutton-in-Ashfield most of the day but has got heavier over the past half hour.

Light flurry here at the moment.

-

Hi all, not been around for ages (been busy having a baby lol)
Was looking quite promising for my area today, north west Notts but now meto app saying light rain. Am I still in with a chance???
-
MetO have now got my area as cloudy - 2hrs ago we had light snow forecast for 6am and 9am lol. I'm at 2.7 degrees and 995hPa, falling.
-
MetO now showing light snow for 6am and 9am tomorrow morning for my area. Previously was sleet at 3am and light snow at 6am.
-
My area now has sleet forecast for 3am and light snow for 6am. Earlier it was clear skies all night and tomorrow!

HAHAHA!!! Dont get me started on your area!!!!! You guys got obliterated up there! (I hate you all! ) Yeah not that much further north than me. It was that streamer you got caught in. Me? I got a whopping 4cm out of that... It was absolute torture watching the radar and seeing the north of the region get pasted, and only like 10 miles north..... Last year placed a lot of extra gray hairs on my head!
Well if we have it this year i'll send it your way!!!! I love snow but last year was madness. Cost me a fortune to fix my roof and conservatory roof, and a burst pipe!

:w00t: OMG I know Andy right???? Ot looks like Im gonna have to dig out the old avatar for us from last winter with the huge snow sheild around our cities hahaha!!!
I must say, I find this very confusing with the met office having saftey cone orange warnings for east midlands, and then on the map for the warnngs it only shows west midlands, and I dont have any rain/snow/sleet at ALL now. I really do hope this shifts more north for us!! Im sooooooooooooooooo on radar watch tonight!!!!
We're not far from each other and my area had loads of snow last winter?!
-
I shall be watching this very carefully - would prefer the snow, if any, to come over the weekend if I had a choice!! Not fun being heavily pregnant and still having a 5 mile school walk to do each day in the snow/ice! MetOffice still have a warning for my area tomorrow but no snow on their forecast?

Whats the odds of that squall line passing me by 3pm? (NG17 area)
