    Well here in West Manchester, near Bolton it got up to the dizzy heights of plus 5.3c and now it's dropping away and stands at 3c

    We got clobbered on saturday in manchester with snow when we were expecting freezing rain. With that cool pool moving furthur west it must be snow me thinks. The temps continue to drop -3.8c. Colder now than this time last night.

    Hi Oakwell, your slightly higher up than I am at Blackrod and I am surprised your only -1.7c as I am below -3c at Kearsley

    The cold tonight on the west of manchester is really pulling in with the temp now below -3c and falling. It will be snow for us tomorow as like last Saturday lunchtime and it was a milder morning then.

    It is pretty hard to belive freezing rain on the Manchester area as it is colder now than it was last Friday evening and dropping really fast -2.5c

    I have seen freezing rain in Canada and it is very difficult as the weight brings down power and telephone lines and also tree branches. Now at -0.2c so it will be cold tonight again

    An interesting afternoon in west Manchester. First of all a Magpie tried to pinch one of my temp sensors!!! Saw him off. 2.5c here and falling away but from bright sunshine we have moved to thick cloud that looks snow baring but I know we are not forcast for any.

    Temps really dropping like a stone -0.5c here in west Manchester. I have seen at least 6 gritting lorries on the M60 late this afternoon ( Mind the paintwork mate)! The easterly is fighting back me thinks!

    I was in Lake Louise and Jasper/Banff in Canada two weeks ago and we got down to -32c during the day and -39c at night with wind chill brought it down to -45c. The first real snow and cold for Alberta and the Canadians were complaining of the cold!! 5mins outside and your face goes white and 10mins meant frost bite. I got what is called frost nip on 4 toes which is still slightly painfull but getting better. -11 is cold here but lets not go lower!!

    The snow in the Bolton area started just on 12 and here we are at 18.30 and it is still moderatly falling. Really got harder in the last hour

    Around 3 - 4cms here and its still coming down and pepped up in the last 30mins
