i just want the front to come so i can check my new rain/wind sensors are working since i smashed the old ones when moving my weather station to this house!

-1c dew -3c..... Frost forming rapidly ice where puddles were.....of to ashton for an italian... Going to need to wrap up warm....
its 2.5oC with a dew of -1oC so its positivly tropical this side of the hill

and if my understanding is correct then thats it for snow chances. more rain tonight/tomorrow and then clear and cold. currently 4oC here

in the heavier shower it turned to snow for about 5 mins. i'll take that as the first snow flakes of this upcoming winter

heavy rain here in ashton. might have been the odd flake mixed in there for good fun but defo not sleet nevermind snow. good effort but no cigar, unless the temp drops big after the shower passes and the bigger shower due soon takes advantage. cant see it though think my night is over! defo worth a trip into the hills tomorrow though!

temps up to 2.8oC and radar showing precipitation on the way. not long left to see if its the first snow falling this autumn/winter now

i live in the now infamous pennine shadow so am well used to missing out. this coming from the right direction for me it boosting my hopes. i'll be drunk if it snows or not so not gonna get too down if it doesnt!

I live near Hurst cross. Will just have to see what the weather brings now hahaLiving in the Hazelhurst area of Ashton would help at around 650 feet

Same here 300m up....will it be enough..... Could be my first glossop snow event..... Moved here in may.....house hunting i missed out by a day the march event.....By event i mean snowing/ possible snow on the ground....
i dont have your height with ya being twice above sea level but just hope having some will help!

will have to have a look at works weather updates today (i work for a big supermarket) only been signaling cool weather recently but really should show worse for next week now
got me old weatherstation set up at my house ready for the colder weather to come hopefully.

Im only 6 miles from ashton and yes early March had good falls but you should have seen the peaks around here in late March!!!
i attempted to go to dove stones in that period and the road was shut just past dovestones, was a wall taller than me! never seen so much snow

Think is around Manchester who are stuck under that shadow should devise a plan to remove said shadow before next winter. Thus saving hours of frustration haha

snake pass, woodhead and eye in the sky past dovestones all closed. bah. got as far as dovestones on my drive and its shut just past there! looked mega deep. only five miles from me here as well
hoping some snow develops imby soon so we get the pasting everyone else has had so far! cant see it though!
current conditions 1oC dp -8oC and breezy overcast. looks like some snow about to the south and southwest when i was parked on hartshead pike not long ago

No snow again. Going for a drive in the hills once the missis and lil one are out. I bet ill drive 2 miles into stalybridge and there will be tons. Think I need to move before next winter haha.

Not difficult to top last night here too. Had 2cm of snow for bout an hour first thing. Gone by dinner and now clear again. I've only just finished work Grrrrr missed out. Have to have a drive tomorrow if tonight doesn't hold any good for here in Ashton east Manchester

Only 2cm here but I asked for some lying snow and I got it so can't complain

All the precip is fizzling out as it gets to me. Calling it a night as the temp keeps on rising. Glad to hear some close by have got some snow though :-)
