Snowing but not sticking in Ashton u Lyne

snowing here in ashton. its only fine snow but settling on top of cars

im hoping for around 10cm here if we get a good run! as the clouds have to rush over the pennines! ive no idea what the models are saying we will get mind!

another person from ashton! im hoping we are going to be in for a right dumping as it starts to climb the hills!

really got the feeling this is going the same way as the december spell. gutted time to make some bacon butties to cheer myself up! IMBY netweather forcast has improved the chance of snow this weekend though, which is nice!

u missed the again out haha! we always miss out and the runs have been showing us constantly missing out

anyone know if we gonna get lucky off the ecm tonight? peeps to the south are cheering in the model thread but looks like we gonna miss out on it again! unless im totally wrong which is a high chance

yeah i think its a lil out. its only a cheapo one. my proper weatherstation is at my rents house. no real point to putting it up here it will just get nicked no doubt. i did have a website that hosted the cumulus software no problem but the host closed that n never got round to getting a new one. wunderground just doesnt seem to work/my dad aint actually hooking it up to his laptop every day and running the web update! its saying 0oC here at the moment. the fog has cleared here now after being thick all night!

hoar frost is one of the most stunning things ive ever seen! got down to -0.8oC according to my station here this morning. currently 1.4oC

aye thats our problem! though when it is from the right direction my god we can get pasted! i remember being in the local pub over christmas a few years ago (maybe 08 or 09) and saying to my mate that we were going to get pasted with snow n it be like a foot deep. he refused to belive me until a couple of hours later and there was a few inch's on the ground! didnt stop snowing that night and was glad i lived walking distance from the pub. shame that set up doesnt happen a lot (no idea of the conditions prior to that, though it wasnt one of the really bad winters as i lived elsewhere when they hit!) conditions here 3.6oC and sunny

1am, nfl starts at 1am and my team is playing. hmmm might have to go sleep soon and then watch snow/nfl/straight to work at 6am haha

all this talk about southern and eastern snow next week is making me want to move! blah

I had a baby free night so made the most of it n caught up on sleep. If only it had been colder last night we had so much rain haha. Looking good for us. Long term as well ens look good

nice to see the temp is staying low today too! a good cold night tonight should help us after yesterday rainathon, or it was here anyway haha!

is there going to be a snow event tonight? some websites say yes but metoffice say no, have got an email for a snow warning for manchester on thurs though from metoffice
