Yeah, likewise, I'm certainly not a worshipper either. I remember getting burnt quite badly as a child, sometimes to the extent that skin would later peel off. This was when holidaying back in the late 80s/early 90s in the Western Isles of Scotland of all places! It's not that we didn't have sun cream on, it is just that 30 years ago, sun cream wasn't so readily available in high factors, nor as long lasting as the sun cream around today. Nowadays, I avoid the sun in the middle of the day all together if I can help it and use factor 50 if I have to venture out.

Another turbulent night here with very gusty winds at times coming through with squally showers. I was fairly knackered yesterday as I hadn't slept much the night before, so was asleep by around 21:00 yesterday evening and have finally woken up properly just now so feeling much more refreshed, although I occasionally stirred when the big wind gusts and squally showers rattled through in the early hours. I heard the sound of a bin crashing down at one point in the night. The bins are full as it's bin day, so demonstrates the ferocity of the gust of wind.

I may be in a minority with this, but I don't actually mind the shorter days myself, and as someone who is not the heaviest of sleepers, this time of year is actually preferable to me compared to the summer months, and the longer nights and more comfortable temperatures in the house mean I usually sleep better and longer in winter.

What a wild night that was, proper house creaking gusts of wind sustained over a few hours. Wind speeds peaked at around 06:00, but have since moderated, but still very gusty at times and have had squally rain lashing against the windows over the past hour or so. Glad I haven't had to venture out this morning.

Yeah, it was a classic case of being punished for not taking our chances early on on the season with the one nil defeats against Fulham and Wolves being prime examples. We should have won both of those games. We are racking up a decent run of clean sheets now as well. It was quite amusing see some of the Newcastle players whinging about lack of respect after that game. I think they assumed they could just turn up to beat us. As you say, the future is looking very bright for once.

I reckon the points deduction will be halved or even down to 3 points following the appeal. Not that it seems to have mattered much as we're flying. People are saying the points deduction motivated the turn in form, but to be fair, things had started to turn around before that. Spurs away next, that will be a good test of how far we've progressed.
