  1. Two ice days in a row here. I suppose the lower we can get tonight, the higher our chances will be of getting a third ice day in a row tomorrow.
  2. We may not be that far away from double digit negative figures by morning. Just reached -6C here now.
  3. Going to be a real cold one tonight, down to -2.9C already. Metoffice going for a low of -7C in the region. Could well be colder than that.
  4. The clouds have parted this afternoon and things have brightened up. The temperature has been going down slowly since lunchtime, currently -0.8C. Another ice day therefore looking likely.
  5. Still heavily overcast here, no signs of it brightening at the moment, temperature -0.1C.
  6. Best to aim for around 2m above ground level and clear from surrounding obstacles as far as possible and have the sensor within a solar radiation shield if not in the shade. If shielded, you can install out of the shade in an optimum location and get reliable readings in direct sunlight.
  7. Managed to achieve an ice day yesterday. Overcast this morning, but no fog. Warmer than yesterday morning but still subzero, -0.6C. Very still out again.
  8. Temperature has risen here a bit since late afternoon. Currently -0.9C, so an ice day is now all but in the bag.
  9. The sun has set now, so looks like -1.7C is going to be the maximum temperature today. Not expecting much of a drop from the current temperature though unless skies clear though, currently -2C.
  10. Temperature still down at -2C, although fog is less dense now. Probably almost certain to have an ice day today now.
  11. Could well be in for an ice day here. Currently -2.4C and slightly foggy.
  12. Temperature going down again, -5.1C. It's absolutely treacherous on local roads and pavements here, the snow cover from Friday and Saturday has essentially become compacted ice.
  13. Another bone chiller this morning, light fog and currently -4.9C. Got down to -5.9C just before 02:30.
  14. The cloud cleared away from here early afternoon and temperature now plummeting under clear skies, currently -1.7C. It Will be interesting to see how low we can get tonight.
  15. Cloudy conditions here overnight and to start the day. Temperature hasn't changed that much since yesterday morning. A low of -0.2C. Currently 0.4C. Very still outside again.
  16. Certainly better than I was expecting. Nothing spectacular snow depth wise but very reasonable for the area. Probably need a battleground frontal event to hit the jackpot around here, probably the same for you too.
