As expected, it was a decent day today with some sunshine at times and the temperature well above average, peaking at 16.7C this afternoon. Some heavy showers now making in roads to the region though. It's looking as though temps above average is the theme for the foreseeable. Hopefully we can flick the switch to some colder weather as we head into November.

Yeah, it was really strange, saw all the reports of severe wind gusts, but there was very little wind here. I'm not that sheltered either and I'm one of the higher points locally to the West of Northwich. My weather station doesn't provide true wind readings as it is low down, but to give an idea of how little wind we've seen here, I've just checked back and the maximum recorded gusts were only between 5 and 10mph all day yesterday.

A bright day here with decent sunny periods throughout. It stayed dry for the most part, but we had the briefest of light showers around 18:00, not even of nuisance value it was that brief. A slightly chilly feel out today and a reminder that the season is marching on. A maximum temperature of 13.8C.
