A lovely start to the day here with sunny periods. Plenty of jobs to do here too, but they can wait.....again. Showers forecast again, but it looks like they'll be more of a nuisance value if you catch one rather than anything significant so shouldn't really affect outdoor activities. Looks like being a reasonable weekend to end what has been a decent summer.

Things clouded in here around late morning for a couple of hours or so, but then it was back to largely sunny skies by mid afternoon. A bit more cloud around again now. It has stayed dry throughout. A high of 21.8C and winds fairly light throughout so a pleasant day. Now time to consume curry followed by a few beers.

It's certainly been a decent summer for large parts of the region. The negative for me has been the complete lack of thundery activity where I'm based. However, other than that, there have been significant periods of weather to cater for differing weather preferences throughout the summer, some decent periods of hot weather for heat fans, plenty of much less hot, but sunny days for those who don't like the heat, and although the first part of summer especially was quite cloudy at times, there has been no shortage of dry weather. Therefore, it's been quite decent for outdoor activities.

After a short period of rain very early on today, it's been dry since. Only 0.7mm of rain recorded so far today, so very little rain again here, despite the forecast. This has been the theme recently. It has been mostly cloudy throughout today but with some occasional brightness this afternoon with the sun now poking through the cloud. A warm and muggy day, a high of 22.2C.

An overcast start here with moderate rain. Looks like being the worst day of the week here for rain. However, things look to be settling down in time for the bank holiday weekend. Fortunately, no intense heat in the forecast, it just looks like being pleasant with temps into the low 20s celcius, but most importantly should be mostly dry, so great for outdoor activities.

A lot of cloud around today, but there were some sunny breaks early to mid afternoon and it has remained dry throughout. A warm and muggy day, temp reached 25.1C. Tomorrow looking like it may be wet. However, unlike other parts of the region, we have dodged most of the rain every time it has been forecast recently.

It's been quite cloudy for much of the day here, although there were some periods of brighter weather this morning. I thought there would be a lot more rain judging by the forecast earlier, but we only had around 30 minutes of moderate rainfall just after lunch and a few sporadic bits and pieces of drizzle since. The worst of the rain was to the North of here. Only 1.2mm of rainfall recorded so far today. A muggy day with a high of 23.5C.

It's been a nice sunny afternoon here. A similar temperature to yesterday, but feels much warmer as the wind is much lighter. I nipped over towards the Welsh border on an errand an hour ago where there was more cloud around and there was even a spot of rain in the air whist I was there. There does look to be a decent chance of some significant rainfall here tomorrow with an unsettled first part of the week before things settle down again in time for the bank holiday weekend, which is perfect timing. Hopefully it is not too hot.

A cloudy start to the day here. No rain recorded overnight, so as I suspected might be the case, the band of heavy rain that was moving South fizzled to virtually nothing by the time it reached here. It does look very slightly damp outside, so there may have been the odd drop of rain, but nothing recordable. Another largely dry day likely here today. Tomorrow looks to be the next opportunity for some decent rainfall. We could really do with it.
