  1. A week ago the computer models were predicting record levels of heat across the UK. In reality, it's overcast, coolish, and raining. aka The Great British Summer.
  2. What started out to be a very promising plume/heat event is turning into a huge disappointment. A few days ago, temperatures were forecast to reach the high 20s, low 30s for a few days, now we're not even going to make it to 25c, and the 24c max that is forecast is just one day only... And then last night's let down. Sometimes I love mother nature, sometimes I cannot stand her.....
  3. I might be reading this wrong but the France storm has expanded north west a bit?
  4. I’m guessing West Sussex is out of the firing line, and everything will be east and north of here?
  5. I thought I might get a bit of lightning, but the storm had lost a bit of intensity.
  6. Heading home. Lightning flashes seen 0 Rumbles of thunder heard 0
  7. For any say nav you may have, the post code for the toby is bn12 4as. Head to the end of the road to the beach. I'm gonna stay another 30 mins then head home if nothing
  8. I'm at George the 5th avenue, at the beach under the shelter!
  9. I'm going to the beach in worthing near George the fifth avenue Who wants the join me?
  10. I'm going to worthing pier. Who wants the join me Edit going to beach near George the fifth avenue, the road where Toby carvery is
  11. I see. Are they heading directly north or are they going to go more north east?
  12. If only that splodge near le man's was heading due north, would be a direct hit for me
  13. How do i see locations on a mobile? I rotate screen to landscape but locations do not appear. Sorry, this is off topic I know.
  14. Afternoon all. I'm thinking of heading down to Worthing Pier later but only if the storms come during the evening hours (would need to catch the bus home, the last one is near midnight) and only if Worthing doesn't take a direct hit, and the storms take a more westerly or easterly direction like last week...cos I don't fancy being struck by lightning, on the end of a wooden pier, surrounded by water.
  15. Raining in worthing, hope this doesn't wreck storm chances later? Doesn't feel stormy anymore.
