Got a little pathetic very light snow shower here but it is settling everywhere. Not quite a covering but enough to be visible.

I'm literally above you, near to hubberton. The snow line is about 150m and I'm up above that with 3-4 inches of snow. I Walked up the tops close by today, up crow hill and along the moors.
I'm at 120m very annoying. I do have little patches of snow lying around but that's it. The hubberton bus goes directly past my house so i'm guessing its close then.

Nice moderate then light snow on and off from around lunchtime today, up here in the Pennines near Halifax.
You're lucky it fell as sleety rain here.

Turning back to snow now but haven't had anything much heavier than drizzle anyway today.

Looks like no more snow for me now. All precipitation seems to be going south.

Very heavy snow shower however it is melting away quickly now.

Got proper dry snow here now and it is just starting to settle on cars only.

Been up into the Pennines by rishworth today and its another world up there. Must be at least 10cm of snow up there compared to the slushy mess down here. Still better than what we got on boxing day though.

I just had a quick look at the nwx model and its showing lots of activity for our area in the early hours.

Seems to be a tiny bit of activity in the irish sea. in perfect alignment to hit my area, might be good.
Don't forget guys about tonight and tomorrow (don't ramp too much) that no snow will settle unless you have elevation above 200metres
I'm at 120m and have 0.5cm of settled snow from a shower a little while ago. Not melting at all either.

Just had 50p flakes from that little shower. Got 0.5cm now.

There is a little shower heading straight for my area!
I hope it doesn't die out. It will settle as there is frost everywhere at -1c -
Had a shower come through. Started as rain quickly turned to sleet and finally to snow with big fat flakes for a few minutes. Covering on hilltops only.

.Yes, anyone would think it was the 'southern model thread' if it ain't good for them they emediately make it sound like the charts are poor for everyone and throw their toys out of the pram lol. Beyond a circus in there now....
Off to get a new thermometer today, last one blew away the other day and is doing my head in not knowing the exact temperaure and how quickly it's coming down lol.
They should have two threads, one for the north and one for the south.

We did well in the March 2013 Spell.
That was the best snowy spell I have ever seen. It snowed moderately non-stop for 2 days. 5ft drifts all over and at least 25cm level in sheltered areas.

Raining moderately here now. Odd flake or two.

Just had a light sleety shower (mostly rain but the odd wet flake and snow pellet) so temps must be getting there! There was also a snowy looking shaft of precipitation coming from it, appearing to end just above the hills after it passed. I suspect I got a glimpse of where the snow line is.

This wind is strange. Its coming is small intense puffs causing hanging plant pots to swing and push empty wheelie bins.
Raining lightly too.

Very strange its not showing on radar. It isn't snowing here but the sky has turned orange.
