  1. Well here is the EC`s uppers chart for a weeks time. It could be better...
  2. You say that blue but regarding this weekend and their infamous snow chart, that is in for a big change, will be a lot less colour on that map
  3. Thankfully I only really look the 12Z outputs during the week when I get home (hands up regarding the weekend) and makes sense.
  4. Interesting anomaly for Saturday, Phil. The HP risidual block sits across the midlands through France. Pretty underestimated and no wonder the Atlantic is struggling. Edit: Which is shown well from your 1st JS chart.
  5. I thought it was when milder air met colder air. Pretty sure if you had ground temps then it wouldn`t be a battle as the cold side would win hands down.
  6. Not here, only ever been chasing a battleground this week, nothing was ever showing a potent easterly.
  7. It`s going to take a big turnaround to stop Saturday, Nick. Regarding the other, less so.
  8. Why not hey? I thought the theme of winter or chasing cold was to see some of the white stuff. If there wasn`t any chance of being IMBY I wouldn`t be chasing it this week. Today`s model swing has given that chance so I`m running with it. What I am not doing is pinning hopes even beyond FI.
  9. Well, ok it`s been an IMBY chase this week (East Anglia). Agreed the bigger picture is much more interesting but would still be a `highlight` if there was a days snow, for me anyway.
  10. Crewe, we all knew this was going to happen next weekend, that`s not what this weeks focus was on. Edit: And just to make it clear, I never said a negative word about Matt on here, even when all the tweets were posted, I`m better than that.
  11. No worries and yes I am in the bigger picture camp too but heck I have been hoping for this battleground thing for days.
  12. Tim, this week has only been about a battleground scenario not a full blown Easterly. Edit: And Matt said forget about this week to be precise.
  13. It is but just highlighting the point mate that without the colder air in situ the dew points are not there.
  14. True but I am not seeing that scenario in this setup. I`d be much happier with -8 850`s 1st. Edit: It is looking like the dew points are only going to come with the colder air.
  15. Not overly concerned at day 7, Nick, firm up on this week could be extremely interesting.
  16. Probably an ideal time to charge your phone, Steve. EDIT: I take it you are only mentioning the switch on the Mogreps for this week and not further? Can`t be past this week shirley.
  17. That was like watching paint dry. If it wasn`t for this potential (very slim now) battleground scenario you could easily not look at an op run for a week.
  18. Fires up this low somewhat more at T78. Less of an Iberian ridge.
  19. Just about to say that, only by what, 100 miles but all adds up to being a Proclaimer...
  20. Nice to see the ECM keeps the entertainment going on the 00Z, glad I polished my straws.
  21. T240, looking forward, the vortex well away from home, the US almost balmy with +4 uppers the coldest.
