  5. You can see where I am from and a mini blizzard here, albeit fine snow.
  6. Hi mate, how is it with you? Starting to get blustery here (20 mins south of Camb)
  7. Snow now in Saffron Walden(north Essex) now, making a timelapse. Will chuck it on youtube IF it gets heavier. I say IF due to being out and haven`t caught up with the latest forecast.
  8. If it stalls Steve, what happens then for EA and the SE?
  9. I am Scottish, moved to England when I was 11. As a kid I witnessed copious amounts of snow and frozen pipes every year. I cannot remember my parents saying "Brace yourself, going to be a..." I suppose everything is soo PC these days, health and safety is paramount. I wonder what the UKMO would say about the -30 temps in the Ukraine with metres of snow drifts. They would have to make a new scale, amber doesn`t really cut it in the scheme of things. I know we opted out of joining the Euro and I bet the met office is pleased that we do not have their problem either.
  10. Looking at the ECM, If this front really stalls then Sunday could be snowy all day? Certainly colder on Sunday than Saturday for East Anglia.
  11. Remember Dec 2010, the UKMO issued an emergency warning for East Anglia at midday on the same day it dumped the most snow I have seen in years. This really is that close to call imo, inflated warnings or a retraction. Scared to see tomorrow`s forecast. Yes I am after snow.
  12. I suppose if something goes wrong tomorrow then maybe Tuesday would bring a smile.
  13. I kind of get the feeling this too good to be true. Monitoring the forums on here from just before Xmas hoping this scenario (like many) would happen and now feel really apprehensive. Don`t laugh but have the feeling of T12 being FI.
  14. Blimey someone has re-booted the GFS computer, even at T60 looks colder. http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?&ech=60&mode=0
  15. Ok, up until the 23rd (T138) we have the GFS showing a zonal flow of the stream, then meridional flow until the 26th. Maybe this is why FI is pretty short. Thanks for the link and I have learnt something again today.
  16. As an amatuer onlooker, hopecasting, how can this be if members are commenting on daily outputs from models giving them a visual outcome?
  17. I understand Nick, I was just curious when the NOAA mention models is it just continental runs or worldwide.
  18. I think I have been blinkered here Nick and sorry for being naive but the runs from the eg: The ECMWF are world wide weather forecasts? Hence your NOAA posts?
