Don't worry, not long till our 20 degree Christmas day.
BBQ at the ready , reminds me of the surprise beach party on my 40th at Cemaes Bay , a beaut of a Christmas Day sunny and 13c .. 40th .. that would have been 2005 then ... time does fly ... If it aint going to snow for Christmas then may as well have beach weather from a personal perspective

Lol .. indeed . I was working outside in shorts and tee today in the sun , lovely ... house was freezing inside, had to put clothes on for indoor stuff .. and the heating went on this evening .. normally reserved for winter months (if cold)

I'm still asking what sun is ...
Bless you Beka, HP Cells that are full of cloud go down as well as a bucket of cold s1ck
A little fortunate here as any flow with a SE'ly component tends deliver clearer skies here , thanks to Snowdonia- 1

I could get use to these shorts and Tee October days , 3 in a row now , warm sunshine filtering through the variable high level clooods, and still very little wind, a little cool in the shade, nonetheless progress is being made on all the outdoor work shelved given the p..poor July and August

Not surprising considering the millions of Brits who live in Australia & Spain. Very few people are moving to the UK for the weather lol
for sure mate .. was speaking to a colleague from an Engineering Software house a week or so ago, they moved from the UK to Barca a couple of years ago , and loving it .... "we don't miss the UK Weather"

I would be relieved with no extreme heatwaves, but that isn't what you said. Everyone needs some sun.
"Scientific studies" are indicative that the optimum temperature for the human body to be at it's most "optimum" is 28c with a relative humidity of 50%
I think I'll retire to the Canary Isles- 4

I'd take a sunny winter if it means we get no winds. Really despise winds at that time of year, it's like getting hit with a wall of ice.
Yes mate especially the lazy easterly, It cannot be ar*d to go around you, so it just goes straight through you .... brrrrrr .. unless it delivers for those who like BFTE Synoptics

MetO 10 day trend last week pretty much spot on for this coming week , with the highest probability weather type being unsettled from mid week and on, with our short lived HP Cell shifting to our NE as Low pressure gets the upper hand to our SW

Doesn’t matter. Still miles better when it’s out.
Yup and one or two red admirals would agree and have made an appearance this afternoon

Awesome day here .. fair amount of cloud , but zero wind , makes all the difference , sun won over in the end , back in the shorts and tee again for out door work , cool when the sun goes in , but warm when its out , the odd break from work with a cuppa on the south facing patio .. close to high teens in the sun , (albeit a sun trap) warm enough for shorts only , shame it won't last

Easily the best weekend weather so far this Autumn, fantastic fresh feel, clear skies....perfect
I could do with less wind here atm, gone from gardening work in shorts and T last weekend to Joggers, T , fleece and hoodie now ... with lighter winds , it would be spot on ... variable cloud in the Nw'erly flow , but the sun still has some warmth in it , when it pops out

Just confused why the warning for this heavy rain, that didn start properly till just before 8 finish at 8 lol. Flooding in heavy rain prone areas around here should have been warned for now.
Yes . a little odd Alexis, it would appear the MetO updated the warning @19:42 as below:

Thanks for the information. On the bablake website I added up the totals to 42 hours, perhaps I made an error or the website has. Will check when home from work.
mate I am 17.7 hrs for October thus far I think the sun has decided to hibernate , although once today's stats are in , probably low 20s
Thought I might be in with the lowest sunshine month ever , but next week looks like spoiling that

Lovely Autumnal day here, for a change, now we are rid of the cloud conveyor sw'er , replaced with a fresher Nw'ly flow earlier today bringing in the clearance
Blue skies , warm sunshine , no wind .. perfect!
Cloud encroaching in advance of the rain bearing fronts tonight and light winds backed sw'er- 2
