Seriously gusty here at the moment.
-
Really are some breathtaking clouds about today.
-
Thanks for the explanation Sparticle, I will read it later when I have a bit more time.
Had downpours and sunshine this morning, some cool looking clouds too.

After all the excitement of El Gordo, I don't think I've ever seen it so quiet on here!
-
gah! I give up my video keeps failing to upload on YT
-
I most of the time (not always) get a weird headache, it's sort of like a buzzing pressure headache just before and during a thunderstorm.
-
Finally managed to get back online after a power surge during Tuesday's storm, managed to wipe out my phone line and some rather expensive electrical gadgets! I got about 10mins of this storm on my phone, it's in HD but was a bit of a rush job - so excuse me for that! and for the dog who you might hear in the background, he won't be appearing on storm chasers any time soon :-)
If you don't fancy watching it all, T&L peaks around 6-8 mins and about 4:45 I nearly dropped the phone with a rather unexpected rumble!
How long did that video take to upload. I've been trying to do mine since yesterday and it's taking FOREVER.
Good video.

My video is uploading slowly. Couldn't edit it down ans video editor was broken so it's a ten minute video.
Video will be posted later.

I will officially be leaving the club after yesterday. I sort of left last month when we had a mini storm, but didn't really feel it was enough to leave properly.
-
Longest - August of 1997. Was an MCS that kicked off at about 6pm and kept going strongly all night and then died at around 7am the next morning. Fantastic light show, it was too loud to sleep and we all stayed up all night watching it. Several houses nearby were hit.
Shortest - A tie between Beijing (July 2006) and Thailand (November 1999). Both extremely potent yet short storms lasting around 2 minutes with torrential rain constant flashes and thunder and disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
-
I swear we still had the odd rumble into late last night and we definitely saw a flash just around midnight in the distance. Nothing was showing on radar though.
I will try and get my close strikes uploaded today if i can work out how to get it in the right format. Haven't heard thunder that loud in England for at least a decade.
-
You could upload it to facebook then post a link here...
It won't let me post it to facebook either
-
Is there anyway I can post a video on here directly from my laptop as YouTube doesn't want to let me upload it.
Anybody?

Gahhhhhh, i want to post my video on YouTube but my video editing programme is broekn and I can't fix it

Well El Gordo, you certainly were a tricky beast.
You took us on a rollercoaster ride of esxcitement and anticipation, then we were on the edge of our seats, then crushing disappointment and then fnally surprise elation.

Because you are stressed over the Weather? Please say it's not because of that.
No, I get this weird pressure headache when storms are here.
-
Pressure headache getting worse.
-
Would anyone be willing to upload my video to their YouTube account and post it on here?
Looks like round 3 is coming.
-
Woohoo! that's more like it. 2 VERY close strikes and lots of other strikes with incredibly loud thunder, lot's of thunder and torrential rain.
haven't seen stuff like this in years.
I haven't got a you tube account and don't really want to start one, but I'm happy to share the video i just captured with you all if anyone would be so kind as to put it up on their account and I'll send you the video.
