Working on a water tower in Brentwood, Essex.
Got a cracking 360° view to watch as things develop this afternoon, and as soon as I'm finished work......the chase is on!!!
Unfortunately phone signals terrible as we're upgrading the network so if I get any cool shots I'll upload later

Currently in the lake District on a road trip in the van with the Mrs.
We'll be travelling up to loch ness this afternoon so hoping still fires and we can follow it North.

Looks like were in for another interesting day! Who's out chasing today?
Yeah I'm out.
Currently on a job near Ipswich then I'll be heading west. Hoping something goes oxford area then tracks into the nice bit of sheer towards bristol

Just getting used to reading the detailed charts again to forecast and if I'm seeing it right then the oxford area along the M4 corridor towards Bristol has some hi CAPE values and some nice sheer developing?

Fun days chasing although no great footage.
Got on the leicester cell soon after it popped and had a good close lightning strike behind me, didn't see it but my god I heard it. Not sure if it was water getting in somewhere or the lightning but my radio / head unit in van cut out and wouldn't work for couple of hrs.
That cell died so had a nap. Woke to the Birmingham cell firing so blasted south for the last HR of day light.
Again no great footage but was rumbling nicely
So much rain and without much shear lacking in structure so not a lot to see in some respects.
Camping out in the van tonight....300miles covered, half bottle of wine consumed, tomorrow we chase again

I headed out and met the Leicester cell just north of Loughborough. As it approached was constantly rumbling but with no visible lightning. It appeared it was not moving far so rather than risking missing it as it died in situ I chose to drive into it.
Being under it I couldn't get out and video it as the rain was torrential. At one point I could barely see where I was driving. Roads quite baldly flooded too. Under the storm the lightning was visible but mostly flashing in the clouds. That apart from one close CG that hit to the side of my car and was like a bomb going off. I did not capture the bolt but I would be very surprised if the sound wasn't captured.
Not a bad start. Now near to the A50/A38 junction debating heading up the M1 for the Newark cell or hanging around to see what new cells near to Coventry choose to do.
I'm in the same predicament
Currently sat at the services near Nothingham, what to do
The rain was insane on the leicester cell

Nothingham cell seems to have died for now, some serious rain out of it

That Leicestershire cell looks to be really intensifying.
Also, showers are developing a lot more widespread today as well as earlier on in the day compared to yesterday.
I'll be under it in 15min, I'll let you know

Morning all.
On way to work in this torrential rain and radar watching, Passenger not driver.
Noticed this on the back edge of the front as it passed over Dorset, imbedded hook echo?
Anyone got higher res. Radar image or local wind data.
Probably wishful thinking on my part
