Four or five flashes and decent thunder seems over now but was something.

Left work at 2pm sky was black hoped to get home before it rained almost did but got caught in really heavy rain was soaked through could of had a rumble or two but nothing, did overhear talk at work about forecasts are saying possible thunder here tomorrow.

Don't believe that Chris bet you were pssd as a fart lol...Glad to read others have seen this and it wasn't me going mad.

Not far Jc I can see planes coming in but it's not that as it's clear here and it's not the flashes you see when a plane is coming through the clouds...These are bright flashes just like lightning yet there are no storms and its happening about every 5mins very weird.

Could be I've ruled out it being lightning if it isn't the aurora then I have know idea what it could be...just seen it then while typing.

I've had a look around and there doesn't seem to be any thundery activity around here yet keep seeing random bright flickers of something has me confused.

Lol i spotted that this week also, Last chance for storms i think in my area tonight hoping something happens.

Not holding my breath for anything thundery here today but still time I'd be more shocked to see lightning and hear thunder here than i was seeing 6 time world snooker champion Steve Davis djing at a rave i went to a few weeks back.

Nothing but rain here nothing thundery at all as comfirmed by people who work outside all day at work yet my sister who lives the other side of bristol near Keynsham said she had T&L so its just here in my part of bristol that manages to avoid storms or they avoid where i am lol.

I know you cant always belive what you read in the papers and nothing at all when it comes to the Express when they have weather stories but anyway read two papers while sat in the pub garden enjoying the glorious sunshine one said according to forecasters they werent specific on who they were but the area of warm/hot air coming up from the continent know as a Spanish Plume expected this week is no longer on the cards as a change in wind direction will push plume away from the uk so already im thinking well there goes the thunderstorm potential then, the other practically said the same thing, i know its just what ive read but im siding with them and from a IMBY opinion dont expect to see a thunderstorm this week if we do get some rain it will just be normal boring rain and will be a total snore fest, A thunderless summer here will go on and probably for the rest of the year. I really hope there wrong and it goes bang here this week but im not holding my breath.

Same here not a single flash or rumble this summer, there were a few storms here in the early months of this year but since there has been absolutely nothing even plume events produce nothing, hopefully im moving to the SE next year not for storm reasons but when there are storms forecast i will be more likely to see see something there than in the SW.

This is not good at all due to all the rain we've had over the last few days my roof has literally just started leaking and big wet patches in other areas and yes i am still talking about the roof lol, have had to move electrical items away from the leak which is annoying as i was watching the footie but now i have to try and fix the leak aaaaaarrgh.

Now that would nice but to be honest i dont expect to see anything tomorrow hope im wrong.

My friend lives by parkway said he had heavy rain and thunder but here sunny, could see the dark sky over that way and heard 1 distant rumble.

Sky is black to my north 1 distant rumble heard.

Hope so would be a nice wake up call if something were to happen.

How i wish those storms in BoB would take a more northerly track.

Lmao at the Kent clipper thing and how Kent has suddenly expanded posts was well funny, Anyway couldnt sleep so got up and watched the Hastings Cam would like to of been there tonight good looking storm. Sounds like alot of people have done well and maybe more to come, wish the SW could get something still the rest of summer to go yet.

I am so confused i just checked the lightning map and there is a big red blob over me and around me yet i have seen or heard nothing!

My god glad I got home when I did absolutely crazy heavy rain here. Started off with big drops then it went mental sat and watched for about 10 minutes thinking this might be thundery but nope June still yet to deliver all calm now.

As expected no storms here today just a shower around 3pm maybe tomorrow.

Really hope your right Andy i think today and tomorrow does look good but i dont think anything will happen here i hope it does but at the moment im agreeing with SteveB.
