    Me neither to be honest, here in Bristol the storm shield doesn't work January through to the end of May so have a few thundery downpours or storms this year but as soon as summer starts and conditions are right its soon up and running and we miss out this post from Ben sums it up perfectly.

    Not going to get excited as will see nothing is usually the case but BBC forecast wasn't to bad for my part of the UK today.

    Met office said severe or violent thunderstorms at least 3 or 4 times in their forecast this morning.

    Yep as usual, I've had a few storms this year but these were unexpected but as soon as summer starts and we have periods of convective weather the Bristol storm shield is well and truly up and running! Lost count how many days we've had a chance of storms over the last few weeks and we've had nothing.

    Ive had no rain at all here just day in day out humid conditions really hope it rains tomorrow only have to work half day will feel nice better than sitting outside the pub under the hanging basket after its been watered lol.

    I really cant believe it rain came towards me then split before reaching me, the weather is really annoying me now no rain, no storms (not bothered about that) and its horribly humid, blue sky and sun is nice but this overcast clammy humid what not neeeds to do one.

    Can i have some please, i dont expect any T&L mother nature is leaving us out at the moment.

    I would do anything for just some rain, indoors outdoors humid horrible hate it!

    Think im going to put on a indian head dress and some face paint then go outside and rain dance cant deal with these sultry conditions anymore.

    So glad to finish work been horrible clothes were sticking to me was sweating alot not nice at all, Feel better now ive rang myself out and had a cool shower but even better the sky is looking like stormy weather is on the way very humid also so could see something later, i'll be happy even if just rains don the speedo's grab a chair sit outside with a cold one and bless the gods lol.

    Quite possibly Chris seeing as 3 of us heard it and we live quite a distance apart it seems that could explain the rumblings. Today looks better for us storm wise we could see something today just hope it waits until I finish work.

    Could off been to be honest could do without a storm now need to be up at 4am but anytime after 2pm is fine.

    Lol no its not my stomach I devoured a kebab earlier but seriously something is rumbling out there could be anything though.

    Has anyone else in or near bristol heard what sounds like faint rumbles it's probably not but I've heard it 3 times in the last 10mins while struggling to sleep.

    Done my bit for Soccer Aid and donated and a good match to watch, Been watching the sky to but I think it's going to be a no show for storms unfortunately even though my phone has changed from sunny to thunderstorm in the last 15mins.

    I know storms aren't due here until later if they happen but when you can't see any evidence you start to think we'll I don't blame any forecast but with a view in all directions and nothing to suggest thundery weather I got to think Bust but like I've said I've had a good year so far so doesn't bother me wheather anything happens or not just would be nice to end the week off with a storm but can't see anything happening here.

    Have to say been out in the glorious sunshine for the last 3 hours and all I see is blue sky and fair weather clouds nothing at all to suggest thundery weather hope to be wrong that nothing will happen here but I'm 95% sure nothing will would be nice to end my holiday with a storm but I can't see it myself good luck to everyone else

    Lol just after posting that there was another forecast which did give a lot more info than the last one maybe he needed the loo and was in a rush to get off set in the other one, Anyway there was the mention of storms but whether I will see anything I'm not sure will have to wait and see.

    BBC just annoyed me with there forecast was interested in what they had to say about Sunday evening and over night yet they got as far as 4pm then jumped to Monday and the rest of the week not a very informative forecast by them.

    I dont know wheather to stay put or go somewhere further south tomorrow as could see something here and would save time and money.

    Late evening would be good preferably when its dark but not to late as also back to work tomorrow after a week off. As for all nighters i did one a few weeks back went to work and got sent home late morning as was struggling to stay awake not good when i work on machines!

    Is that because you dont see anything happening in the Bristol/Bristol channel area?
