Looking a bit breezy early on Sunday, 60mph possible on the exposed coastline, particularly Sussex and Kent, further inland, perhaps 40mph gusts, other than that, it is pretty short lived, with the Southern flank reserving the strongest winds for France. Rainfall totals still looking hazardous though.. Fairly sunny today, bit of a wind chill though. Temp: 7.1°C - Hum: 78% - Dew: 3.6°C - Wchill: 4°C - Bar: 997.77hPa - Wind: W ~ WNW @ 7mph.

That is just down to eddies due to how the building is positioned.

I decided to jet wash the garden, perfect day for it! Just 2.2mm from a few showers - top temp was 13.3°C and top gust was 39mph. Temp: 9.4°C - Hum: 88% - Dew: 7.5°C - Bar: 997.19hPa - Wind: WSW ~ W @ 8mph.

Getting some good windspeeds on the chimney at the moment. 34mph gusts and a 10 min average of 20mph.

I've been a bit busy and not really paid any attention to what the models have been showing of late. I don't know what Exeter's thoughts are, but some of the models indicate a lot of rain in some Southern areas Saturday > So while some folks in the mod thread bicker about what type of ppn will fall, there's a chance that rain warnings *might* appear.

There's some quite potent areas of low pressure harbouring in and around the UK on some of the peturbs at days 8 / 9 - I don't know what the likelyhood is, of at least one nasty low in the next 14 days?

Quite a hard frost this morning - temp down to -1.3°C I've spent a few hours tidying the garden, sucking up lots of leaves ready for another batch to appear tomorrow, after the strong winds and rain. It looks like the pressure will get below 1000mb for the first time since the 16th June - that's quite an impressive run! Somewhere between 993 and 994mb perhaps? Temp: 7.8°C - Hum: 83% - Dew: 5.1°C - Bar: 1008.84hPa - Wind: Calm.

I was expecting it to be a lot colder than it was this morning, only dropped to 3.8°C - quite windy today, gusting to 23mph here. Temp: 8.3°C - Hum: 70% - Dew: 3.2°C - WChill: 5.3°C - Bar: 1014.29hPa - Wind: NW ~ NE @ 12mph. Looking like a fair amount of rain to come over the next seven days, Tuesday in to Wednesday looks very wet!

The ISS looks more fancy, but it mentions nothing about data logging?! The HP 1000 is just a copy of another manufacturer, they buy in bulk, then call it there own. I had an Aercus, what is known as an Ambient WS-1001, the same as the HP1000 on that site. I hacked it to get my data to send to my website (before I bought a Davis) I thought it was an excellent station for the money - 3.8GB of data storage is not to be sniffed at. I can't find that model anywhere, it's probably made just for the US frequencies - like a lot of Lacrosse and Fine Offset stations.

The temperature was very up & down during the early hours, I didn't get as low as I thought it might. Bottomed out at -0.2°C Lots of sunshine, but quite windy again, gusting to 22mph. Temp:8.1°C - Hum: 69% - Dew: 2.8°C - WChill 5.9°C - Bar: 1007.32hpa - Wind: NNW ~ NNE @ 9mph.
