  1. Meh, clouds are overrated, had some this week already Not that they did anything apart from obscure the sun occasionally....
  2. My brother in law owns a hotel on Mull, he'll be entertaining the guests with his extensive collection of local whiskies....
  3. Just popped out for a loaf of bread, one or two proper clouds in the distance, albeit very small ones. Back to watching the Euro Championships and a live webcam from Marseilles. 4. Trying to work out its direction, thought it was Nimes but it seems to be hugging the coast.
  5. Warming up quickly here. The rain symbols/ % chance on my local 16 day forecast are slowly receding.
  6. Desperate times, watching a storm roll in on a webcam (again!) Look, umbrellas!!! Šibenik - Poljana square, Šibenik, [ Right now, LIVE ] LiveStreaming cameras from Croatia - LiveCamCroatia, Explore Croatia WWW.LIVECAMCROATIA.COM New Poljana square

  8. I was watching the triathlon at the European Championships yesterday, the British commentators got very excited when it started to rain in Munich!
  9. Glad to see that the Mid Norfolk railway has cancelled its steam train timetable for this weekend, especially after the hoo hah we had a few years ago when hot ash ignited the bank next to our farm buildings (and we had £1000 worth of hay within yards of the blaze). The MNR got a right ticking off from the Fire Brigade for not having any fire fighting equipment in their railway crossing shed.
  10. A misty start to the day followed by cloud racing in on an E'ly. That's all disappeared, clear skies with no discernible breeze. At least I've finished all the hedge and shrub maintenance in this relatively cool few days! Supposed to be camping this weekend over near Huntingdon (dog training) but I think it might well be cancelled, given the projected temperatures. Unfair on dogs and handlers.
  11. Scorching day here at Blofield, on a week's camping. However we now have proper blobby rain (well, it's reaching the ground!) with skies showing that mid level convective look. Any other time I'd be expecting the odd rumble or two. Seen quite a few fire engines tanking down the A47, hope there aren't more field fires.
  12. Another dry, mostly cloudy day with a drying wind. Typically next week the wind reverts to type i.e. a N'ly/NE'ly 10C lower, when I'm camping. An outside chance of rain on Monday. Still, Sunday looks nice....
  13. The 16 day outlook on Extra went from rain on 2 days next week, to one, then a tiny bit overnight on one day, then none. It's absolutely dire tbh, we can only hope that August is one of the cool, wet summer months that it has been historically (which I know isn't great for the kids, but hey ho!)
  14. It's definitely noticeable; I've been in Norfolk since 1986 and the decline has been obvious since the late 1990s/early 2000s. I usually dig out some of the really good Florida storms on YouTube, there's some with a good couple of hours worth of lightning, even the rainfall vids are worth watching at the moment.
  15. Just about to start watering Part 2. It's absolute pants trying to keep stuff going in this weather.
  16. I'd call that pleasantly warm after the last 2 days! Been mostly cloudy here since midday with a very strong breeze, which is drying everything up even more.
  17. Does it also include the sheet of cloud from the SW? It's all go here.....
  18. These sunny spells - are they before or after the area of drizzle currently making its way up the eastern side of the country?
  19. My bedroom faces the wrong way, so I was blissfully unaware, typical!
  20. Definitely feeling more pleasant this morning. It rained during the night but not enough to trouble the rain gauge - probably evaporated!
