  1. Doh hope you are fine later on to travel back off to our house in stalybridge to clean up and tidy place after refitting of doors, windows, new light fittings… hopefully new tenants will love it… need to pick up a moving in gift and card… bit wild out but seems to lull and then strong gusts… Woodhead closed to high sided vehicles… can see why with 77mph gusts being recorded to Lee of high ground and on tops
  2. Looking at flight radar Bridgetown flight and Dublin flight trying to land at Birmingham now instead of Manchester edit Logan air flight from iom just managed to land on first attempt
  3. Cheers thank you have a good Christmas Yes just looked on flight radar… lots of flights in holding patterns circling about… overhead here too…
  4. I’m sure you’ll be fine they change the runways used with wind direction… look at flight radar quite frequently…. Plus your flight might get there quicker with the stronger winds/jet
  5. I lived in the Isle of Man from 1992-2000… those years we had some proper big storms.. and quite frequently… with snaefell and Ronaldsway frequently recording 100mph plus gusts… since then, in the iom, those type of storms you can count on one hand… I was at boarding school next to the runway at Ronaldsway… had a day at the met office there for one of my Duke of Edinburghs…
  6. Have a good Christmas and hopefully back to snow hunting in the new year dreary damp breezy cloud hugging hills kinda day… just had even more fireworks delivered for new years… packing for Keswick…. Making chicken fricassee with mushrooms with rice for tea…

  9. Well that was an eventful jaunt around Tameside Van and car crashed right outside our house this morning… crashed through neighbours wall… police and fire engine blocking road off… sorted a few bits n bobs in house in stalybridge were having new tenants move in after Christmas… roadworks popping up and disappearing all about and traffic weaving in and out everywhere saw a pedestrian collapse in Denton and members of the public ran to her aid… the air ambulance was circling over Denton/hyde… there was another accident over near m60 at roundabout at Stockport… crazy day but the drizzle disappeared late morning and a few hours sunshine and blue skies clouded over again now was 9c this morning now 6c
  10. Mild damp… owls out and about… off to stalybridge to run a few errands… then over to Denton to drop off a few things and pick up a few remaining Christmas bits n bobs… hopefully a bit brighter with some sun today… Had Worse are you off to Edinburgh today? Hope you have good journey and fun festive time away… Edinburgh is lovely
  11. only 5 points between City and Pool… could’ve done with Villa drawing… late red too quite big gusts of wind earlier…. Dry day less sunny than yesterday… but two useable days… more than expected… not expecting a white Christmas but it’s still knife edge with models tooing and froing… might still be white on the hills around Keswick made pre Christmas Christmas dinner… £7 frozen half turkey crown but cooked with veg underneath, wine and herbs… opened a few little silly pressies… listening to Christmas songs… IMG_8433.mov
