in august 2003 here in faversham kent we had 38c (Brogdale farm) whereas london was 36c...... faversham in the shield of the north downs is a little heat trap if the wind is in the right direction.... we can get higher temps than london in the medway towns as well. There is potential if the sun comes out, of 33-34c somewhere Monday/tuesday.....
The thunderstorm potential is huge, but as always, radar watching and nowcasting going to dominate proceedings i think.... would be interesting to see if France, maybe on smaller scale us, get USA style storms out of this set-up.... the temps and humidity will be off the scale in southern France/Spain....temps progged in high 30's low 40's with high humidity = OUCH..... something is going to go bang....

Lots of low broken cloud around at mo but when sun does come out temp shot upto 23-24c. Feeling bit humid..... doors open, steaks marinating, chilled rose just being opened, tennis on telly (swivelled so watching from outside).....if carlsburg made weekends....
