  6. Washed bedding hung out and patio doors open, in January and after yesterday didn’t think that’d be the case… definitely feels spring like compared to yesterday’s grotbag of a day yummy prawn curry now stuffed
  7. Only 6.3c but sunny drying up out… couple of hours gardening, refilled bird feeders as very busy out there bird and squirrel wise… put one feeder out front but birds queuing up on the car, might have been a bad idea just making prawn curry for lunch/dinner (larger lunch/dinners throughout January and small teas in evening)
  8. 5c much brighter so far… on 98mm for the month… rain/showers tomorrow should breach the 100mm…
  9. Will be interesting to see if we do get any dust mixed with the rain here… dusk esque light levels… the birds are very active today and making their appearance known… maybe it’s the light levels but there are definitely more about than yesterday when we did the rspb survey… 9c and 92mm for the month… 12mm so far today…
  10. @Weather-history Weather record for warmest January set in Scottish Highlands WWW.BBC.CO.UK An unseasonal 19.6C is recorded at Kinlochewe, according to provisional figures from the Met Office. wowza was only 8c today here tomorrow and Tuesday look wet wet wet ️️️️
  11. @Sun dog snap doing the RSPB birdwatch thing too.. haven’t put out bird feeders for two years but now have four out… our resident robins making good use of them… always follows me about the garden when doing jobs out… bull finches, gold finches and blue tits about… luckily don’t have starlings here, noisy blighters haven’t seen our woodpeckers recently lots of bulbs poking out in the last week… certainly feels more springlike atm…
  12. City super City ️️️️ tearing cockneys apart again city tearing cockneys apart again ️️️️
  13. Knew last week when charts showing high pressure over Spain they’re warm up considerably… didn’t think record temps in 30c though… friends in Gran Canaria for friends 40th birthday this weekend… looking at booking a few breaks in Spain in spring and early summer… need some sea sun and vitamin D

  15. Mild 10/11c out… was windy but does feel warm out compared to recently… nw tonight saying 15-16c in region coming up… that’ll feel weird… 2 hours gardening cutting back bushes/ferns/crocosmia and filling the green bin… so many bulbs coming out… have hundreds we planted down the drive and in tubs and pots… looking to book a few holidays and get some blooming sunshine looking at short breaks to places/long weekends… saw it was 30c something in Spain today wowza that’s like 8-12c above average… crazy Raul must be having nice warm cruise for his parents anniversary in the Mediterranean
  16. @Joe Snow yes March 10th last year gave us 4-6 inches of snow for a few days… late February early March recently has given some quite wintry weather here…
  17. @Had Worse we’re going to my mums in Somerset 20th February, my sisters birthday 23rd February, 24th February to Bournemouth to watch City (if we get tickets) ️️️️ then see some friends down in Poole Sunday 25th February from Kent… Could be sunny & 20c or as you say more than likely snow or more windstorms… and nightmare journey
  18. @Had Worse apparently Dr Gillian McKeith advocates “She recommends a detox diet in which the "top 12 toxic terrors to avoid" are: smoking; caffeine; alcohol; chocolate and sweet snacks; pub snacks such as crisps, nuts, and pork scratchings; processed meat; white bread, white pasta, white rice; products containing added sugar; takeaways and ready meals; table salt; saturated fats; and fizzy drinks” yet she’s opening a McDonalds… oh well I’m guessing she gets publicity and an appearance fee apparently she’s a conspiracy theorist, anti vaccine and gives credence to David Ickes theories oh well
  19. Two hours gardening… and collecting neighbours recycling into our bin… just at lamb inn chinley… delicious lunch as always… still breezy but 10/11c out… almost feels warm…. glossop maccyDs opened today by Dr Gillian McKeith today… wowza
  20. @Had Worse neighbours recycling having a dance up the road and our drive trees really swaying about… wouldn’t be surprised if one or some of them came down if this wind continues hope you’re all back safe soon
