  1. Talk about luck tho down the western side, must be awsome being there. I think if I want snow from now on I move to Canada
  2. Thats how it looks to me to looking at it we are bang in the middle of both passing either side
  3. Looks like its weakening tho, look at the thickness of the precep soon as that hits breacons that be it
  4. Its incredible to far west, or to far east im bang in the middle of the 2 and its sunny here
  5. SO let me get this right. Its now not to far east, its far to far to west OMG this is confusing
  6. Thats so true dont think there was any need for someone to get envy. I have no snow left at all now, and seem to be in the huge gap between the 2 bands and 850HPA is now pushign them south. IM really dissapointed but thats life. It happens when I go storm chasing in the summer they either come or they dont. This cold spell for me has been nothing spectacular at all, where as for some its been worse ever. Its all about being in the right place at the right time.
  7. Ohh man I didnt know they had downgraded anything thats a real bummer was looking forward to a real winter wonderland later. I think I just watch the radar and bow out the forums for a bit. Hope it all changes again. Where is jackone when you need him
  8. Yea looks like its moving east like some people predicted. Ahh well always Feb
  9. Not sure whats happend its all thawed. So whats people predictions on this low, im assuming its the one thats over the midlands at the moment or am I not seing it.
  10. Snowed here for about 10 mins, and it didnt srick, sun is out now. So tonight is looking grim here then as it did move to the east?
  11. Yea hope that dont happen by me because im also right by coast, I think tommorow has been a bit hyped tbh. That low is wayyy to far east as currently winds are going SE
  12. Wish I could mate, but its rained here for all of winter bar a small flurry the other day, rest of the time its rained.
  13. ALL! the charts still show rain for me, which is crazy if it rains im so going to be upset. It sucks living 2 miles north of port talbot
  14. Dunno where u get that from, no snow in Neath Port talbot I can assure you. It snowed for about 5 mins and left less than a mm. There is plenty of ice tho
  15. For us it needs to come at least 50 miles west for it to make any sort of impact. I think Bristol and around Newport see the best of it personally.
  16. Its always the east tho, Kinda sucks being in Port Talbot, im on the coast anyway so even if it does come it be sleet at best.
  17. When all the snow melts how much water do you think is apparent on the snow left 200mm is not that far feached. It causes wide spreed flooding so yes it is possible. 1 drop im sure is does not equate to 1 snowflake, im sure its more than that.
  18. Im totally confused now. So the snow even is only for tuesday and maybe wed, but after that its a classic adlantic situation with rain returning. I am getting so many mixed messages now. I was under the impression this cold spell was a good week and beyond into early part of next week before adlantic wins. Whats the pro's version of whats ahead. I know about fronts comming down from the north, what happens when they have passed. Does something move allowing a more westerly wind in. Preassure looks to be high for at least 10 days ahead for here 1025+ through most of it
  19. I agree batle grounds are good if your on high ground, its awsome having a day or 2 of winter wonderland then its all gone, doing a time lapse on that is fantastic
  20. When it comes to battlegrounds of cold air vs adlantic I always 99% of the time get rain as I am to close to the sea and at times I wish I was back in Garnant. Even if a battleground occured the snow would be short lived as eventually the adlantic always wins. I really do hope its going to snow its heart out, but enjoy what little we do get, take some stunning pictures of everything white. I am now looking forward to a fantastic May storm period. I can imagine the climate is super complex and forecasting even hours ahead in this situation is hard. Lets wait until thursday night to see what weekend will bring.
  21. Can someone please explain what the charts are showing later on the week. Am I correct in assuming a front from SW is trying to push up but it looks like this brings warmer air with it or what. Can I have it in semi layman terms, and what the chances are thanks guys Snowiest since records began I wish, not had any at all here yet near port talbot. Rained mostly. Can you explain whats happening later on in the week for me in idiot terms and what the possible chances are and what might put a downer on everything
  22. Yes but later int he week the air preassure is 1030 which is why we have a screaming easterly, you need moisture for significant snowfall and with a preassure like that its unlikely. I love it when we all turn experts suddenly myself included
