  1. Well glad to be on the western side of the region for the next event. Although was planning to watch the mighty Cherries at Walsall on Saturday...but no chance of that going ahead !
  2. Same sleety stuff here inLeighton Buzzard but now stopped. My mates are doing Chiltern league cross country virtually at the end of Luton airport. Going to be a tad brisk ;-)
  3. Cheers! If its not windy, its always bloody cold for the race. God I hate windy weather...oh for a nice blocking high..
  4. I get a feeling that I won't be running a fast time at the Wolverton 5 race on saturday (Willen Lake - MK). And that I may be getting a little wet ;-)
  5. Seem to be in the area of decent rainfall here in Poole, straddling the front of the squall line.
  6. Interesting weather in Central London (work) for a change...Looks like home got some heavy stuff for a change...never when i'm there - it avoids me!
  7. Just like yesterday was for us anyway! Astounding levels of storm avoidance...
  8. Been like that here in LB - lovely day! often in blue sky with dark skies in every direction. From our house, when there are showers, its ALWAYS darker towards Tring / Chilterns directions, presume the uplift from the hills creates the heavier storms, e.g Wycombe's match was called off as a bolt of lightening hit the main stand!
  9. Dont feel hard done by if you haven't had any action. The Leighton buzzard storm shield is in FULL effect. Incredible storm avoidance! Good thunder at the mo, from a storm that looks like it's over MK. been like living in the eye of a hurricane today.
  10. Impressive storm shield as usual in central London. Not even one drop from that line! It's always the same looking west, seeing the showers on their well trodden path down to Surrey! Creatures of habit, I'm sure ;-)
  11. Glad its not here (just put kid to bed)...but clouds to the NE - Bedford area look immense! Although concerned about the new lot of showers over Wales coming this way...
  12. http://www.portsmout...gpole-1-4043741 Now this is quite cool!! (flagpole getting hit by lightning today..)
  13. Appearance of hail is usually a good indicator to the chance of lightening - bit unscientific but has worked for me before ;-) Worked with the one we had at lunchtime. Caning it down, but as soon as the hail started...bang!
  14. Just on the A4146 to MK shopping. No thunder with the last storm over us, could well develop tho. Lots of deep puddles and very dirty clouds and big puddles! Streetlights turned themselves on too
  15. Just reporting on our storm in LB (just south of MK!) Pretty good...30 mins of v. Heavy rain, some decent hail and two big lots of thunder and lightning. A storm at last!!
  16. Quite a heavy shower here - which im sure will be on their way to the central / NE sector like storm homeing pidgeons !! Well at least a little heavy rain - being quite boring here and in London the last week. Regards the rain in the SW - Looking at the radar, some of the heaviest and persistant rain seemed to be in Dorset, however, only Devon seems to be mentioned on the TV/radio?
  17. Well living in Leighton Buzzard and working in London..I can report that the weather has been exceptionally boring for ages! Surely our turn for some lightning - even heavy rain? Seems that after living here for 8 years - yearly snow is its best feature (moved here from Bournemouth, where it never snows!)
  18. same here..really battered down from around 5-9pm....struggled back from pub with pointless umbrella *good old sideways rain*.....
  19. Battering it down here...trying to get to sleep! No thunder tho....
  20. Strange, the missus in LB said thunder and lightening but no rain! But now the radar showing serious rain!
