  1. Still snowing here - getting what was 'stolen' from us yesterday ;-) about 1/2 cm and still falling, covering everything nicely. Getting pretty heavy now, but I think we are virtually out of this bit now.
  2. See. LB right in that bloody hole, they just know that it won't snow here ;-)
  3. True! The Istanbul bit was from our local friends of the earth rep when we were watering our local orchard! Very dry here generally. Grew up in Bournemouth, a lot wetter than here
  4. Yep just the usual. The stuff last night and early hours all slipped to the east! Anything here was too light to be snow. Not surprised LB is as dry as Istanbul on average!!
  5. Thing is, we never seen to bet 'bonus' snow. If we get some then it's generally worse elsewhere, like yesterday afternoon's shower. Then if it's forecast like this morning, it buggers off somewhere else! 42 year old tantrum time ;-)
  6. Incredible snow avoidance here, yet again! That was our bloody snow and it's gone east again. Funnily enough exactly where regional weather said it wouldn't go, it's gone. Might as well be living back on the south coast again. Rubbish!!
  7. Same here- knew it would be windy - but not quite as wild as this! Crap weather - hate it.
  8. Jusat had that one overhead in Camden - torrential rain and a few decent bangs - love the way it popped out of nowhere on rainradar! Good job it stopped as I don't want the railway tunnels to get flooded.. Makes up a bit for the usual/back to normal no show last night in the beds/bucks area. Well we did have a couple of storms in July, so we must shut up and be grateful
  9. I saw a forked line too, quite early on in the storm, MK direction. Looked like the end of the world encroaching!
  10. Yep to a degree I suppose, still raining, but sky not that threatening. Good views of the storm moving off towards Luton area..
  11. Storm not completely gone yet - serious rain with some decent hail too. Couple of decent close ish GC strikes. All good!
  12. that was a cracking storm, some decent hail mixed in too, will affect Luton airport I would have thought..
  13. at home for a change - biggun just arriving from the NW, some decent lightning, no CG yet though...
  14. Christ that was LOUD!! Must be overhead in Camden now.... Much laughing in the office!!!!
  15. Should have had rain in Camden going by the radar, but nothing on the ground...getting darker tho!
  16. Christ that's real American prairie stuff! Always just a bit better than here. Wouldn't fancy being walloped by one of those hailstones!!
  17. Ha ha a tad wet. Another vote for how hot the Bedford river festival was!! Now in Kempston at a barbie, amazed at how Far East the Swindon storm has come, virtually just turned right at Oxford !!
  18. Great wasn't it. Here in LB, I saw one hit an electricity pylon anout 500m away! Could see it in my eyes for 10 mins after it happened! Sadly missing the fun as I'm in London working, more storms in the area...
  19. Loads of Thunder & Lightening in Hemel Hempstead, so the missus says - she's a schoolteacher and the kids are screaming apparently!!
  20. Same amazing storm here in LB as went through Aylesbury. ground strike about half a mile away, one of those that makes you jump away from the window..awesome!
  21. Just go south up those big hills you have near you. My mate's daughters were christened in a small church up there - brill view all over Brum.
  22. Yes, with the amazing storm avoidance that Leighton Buzzard managed last summer, I don't feel sorry for anyone! Just a shame i'm here in London when they are having some fun at home. My 4 year old son is the only family member there today - at Nursery. I expect a full account of what it was like when I get home
  23. Glad I got my session (running) out of the way in Regents park before the storm arrived - pretty decent when it did though. Looks from the radar that Leighton has copped a couple of biggies today - will ask my 4 year old what they were like!! Shame flooding on the Euston line!
  24. Bedfordshire innit! Hopefully this year won't be as pathetic for weather as last year. Not one thunderstorm nor one flake of snow! As usual the interesting stuff will cling to the Chiltern hills, like it normally does.
