    The wallpaper on my phone is a webcam that auto updates and woke up this morning to a luvverly sight. Looks like some of the Alps have had a dumping! Maybe the updated map tomorrow will show white over the Alps.

    Yeah Polar it is taken from that cam. Ignores anyone has an Android search for WebLiveWallpaper in Google Play. You can set any webcam image as your wallpaper and you can set it to refresh whenever you want. Great for watching the snow come in.

    I know this will prob be gone by later today but this made me quite excited! I have an image of Findeln in. Zermatt as my live wallpaper on my phone which refreshes every 10 minutes. Woke up this morning and my phone looked like this!

    Can't see it happening yorkieblade. I'm not far from Bramall Lane and all looking rainy sleet and can't see that band shifting our way before it gets too far south, which it looks to me like it already is. Hope I'm wrong tho may I add.

    So peed off! Can't believe I'm 33 and snow gets me this disappointed when it misses us in Sheffield. No way that precipitation is gonna swing west enough to get us. It's already too far south.

    Yeah, GFS don't appear too far out at all, maybe a slower but the areas are pretty much correct. I've been nerdy and merged the the GFS for 15:00 with the last live radar and it shows more or less correct with the darker blue being where it wasn't correct compared to the radar but the purples / pinks are spot on.

    All too true - You can imagine lots of managers faces when somebody uses the MO warnings as a reason they daren't venture out..

    I think so yes but also updated each time a realtime snapshot has come in so always updating the trajectory I think.

    I just can't see it evolving as they say it should?? It does look it is too far south already and not coming in West enough to fit in with their maps....

    Ah! I thought maybe the person who created the Sheffield Weather site would post on a weather forum and there you are! Nice site PIT, I use it regularly, thanks. Although it is showing 1.9 degrees at the moment, I'm hoping that is going to drop but maybe you aren't going by your comment? I'm not interested in freezing rain but lots of snow - yup indeedy.

    The more this day goes on the more it feels to me like we are going to miss out on the good stuff here in Sheffield. I feel it will be more to the South East of Sheffield where the main snow will be. Sheffield and anywhere further North and West will see a cm or 2 maximum? Anyone thinking similar? How bout Sheffield please Cheese?
