  1. Greetings from the far South of England, seems like some of you guys up in the higher altitude saw some snow today, fair play to you! Should be more chances of Northern Topplers and N/W in the coming weeks
  2. Great presentation, well presented and also the views on the winter seem reasonable, now or we need is this to verify lol. Good work Netweather once again!
  3. Don't know if its been published but i have emailed WCC weather forecasting UK And Ireland, They send me a pdf and i have now made it public online to view goto.. http://t.co/DDRMFQwS( The link is the only address i could use, it's not a scam!)
  4. Headington,Oxford - Weather Conditions Temperature- 8.9c Wind Speed- 5mph Westerly Wind Rainfall (Last 24 hours) 3.5mm Current Weather- Clear Skies with light breeze, damp ground.
  5. I agree with you Snowmad79 when i first looked at the camera's it did decieve me and i thought thats snow, but when the temps are in double digits for the majority and Paul explained it the was the light it made sense! Won't be long before we can see Snow on the cameras; here's hoping!
  6. It seems the models are all conflicting at moment until they start showing same signs or little signals we can start to see a colder spell and with snow pehaps. Long way to go yet!
  7. Also worth pointing out that the Met Office Forecast for Glasgow for 9pm shows Hail Shower.. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/st/glasgow_forecast_weather.html
  8. It does look like snow, but as Paul says temperatures are too high... but tomorrow there could be
  9. Is the red bits where they are lacking and the blue bits that have got snow?
  10. I also enjoy looking at the videos of snow and also the tv forecasts on youtube, i do miss Rob McElwee!
  11. Temperature dropped to -0.4c last night here in Headington,Oxford. Was extremely foggy when i was at the fa cup match between Oxford City and Redbridge, the fog got so bad you couldn't see the other end of the pitch, proper winter weather, finally!
  12. It seems like the newspapers are getting carried away again! But the one Gavin has posted indidcates that there is a bit of truth out there, because believe it or not some places have been on drought alert for a long time by now...
  13. I wouldn't count your chickens just yet! We have got blizzards coming..
  14. Stormy start, cooler middle of the month, snow to end the month and sets up for a cold january. This sounds good to me, the first part seems like will be happening, strong winds something we have lacked so far, as we usually get this at this time of year.
  15. The 12z may seem dissapointing, but we are in a better postition than last week in my opinion. The 18z will be interesting : back to the cold ? or continuing on from the 12z + milder? One thing for sure we are going to experience a different weather pattern than we have had for a while, which is only good in my opinion. All to play for Mark.
  16. Foggy start but did eventually lift but not great visbility over the City of Dreaming spires. Had a walk along the river, it started to spit-30 mins later it bucketed down. Current Conditions- Headington,Oxford Temp- 9.2c Wind- 4mph - Easterly Rainfall Today- 3.9mm Current Conditions- Mostly Cloudy,Broken at times,Dry.
  17. Models look crap for cold and snow lovers this morning, looks like the south westerly may well be back! All to play for and its just ONE run, but last night's pub run may have got a few people a bit over optimistic. Mark.
  18. Current Conditions- Headington,Oxfordshire Temp- 7.0c Wind- 4mph Conditions- Misty and Damp
  19. Very true, but thats why people have to take it as a pinch of salt and not increase there expectations that way they won't be as dissapointed. With the winds strong towards the end of the week, blizzards for the highlands, or will they have calmed down by then? Mark.
  20. Yes looks like a windy end to the week up NORTH, further south much quieter..
  21. The thing that shocks me is the fact we go from a very mild run from the 12z to a cold one for 18z, a very almost opposite outlook. Not that i am complaining. But a reminder it is just ONE run and must be taken with a huge sense of caution. I do however have a strong feeling that the 18z is too good to be true. Onwards and upwards anyway! Mark.
