  1. I dont think it is forcasted to stall at all now Liam. Should slow down once it gets our way but this is not likely to be until evening time. Its only reached around the Exeter area right now.
  2. Always thought you were a bit older than that mate, damn im more grey than you. Still your looking very happy
  3. Just noticed this myself, first band does seem to be keeping itself together fairly well and extending east at a decent enough rate. nice to see the 2nd one too, wonder if this will keep on its track towards us also.... Also just noticed that although the sun is trying to peek out and temp has risen to the heady hights of 0.5c the dewpoint has dropped 2c to -4.5c.
  4. Hi Steve, im guessing that all the time the cloud stays around it will help keep the temps low? Also with the precip due late evening for us lot it also helps with the temps being lower?
  5. Morning Coasty, im hoping the same too, want the snow but it has to be enough to stop me working out in it on Monday, all bendy thingys crossed eh!
  6. Thanks Ian for a concise explanation. Im guessing with all this swapping around that the shorter term outlook could still change with the next lot of runs?
  7. Woo back again for another winter! Nice to start the regional page of to a sarcy start with MR OON! Very windy outside and that squall line looks to get here in about half an hour, better than nothing i guess. Snow later on in the winter for down here i reckon.
  8. And.... Thats the last post read! Took me almost an hour to read through all those (with frequent fags and coffees) Thank goodness me and the good lady decided at 10.45 that we would go to bed and hopefuly wake up if any storms got here. What a shame though, amazing how that huge clump of heavy rain/storm just melted away as it got oh so close. Interesting too to read the exitement on here turn to negativity, then slowly peter out. Reminded me of Late night snow watches in the winter. Nice to see the forum so busy in August too. Oh well heres to the next one, maybe Friday?
  9. Aaah there you are, thought you would be lurking here somewhere! Callie and Mr CB too! I think im gonna take a look in the back garden and see if i can see any distant flashes yet, its getting ever closer.
  10. If you look at the last 2 frames on the met radar you can see the big pink blob at the bottom, just starting to come out of France into the picture and heading this way :-)
  11. Definitaly on its way slowly! http://www.meteox.nl/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=satradar
  12. Raining here already. Is this a sign that things are a little but further North than expected? If so thats surely a good thing for most involved (that want storms!)
  13. Just my thoughts exactly SeeBee. Thought i would pop on here and see what everybody thought after seeing it go from sunshine to dark clouds in the space of half an hour. Dont think there will be any thunder until later but i dont think there was supposed to be any rain until later either. Looking foward to later today anyhow.
  14. Dont want to get my hopes up, but there is a chance for something decent happening. Blimey, we are all coming out of the woodwork!
  15. I can foresee a lil walk up to the seafront in the next few days......... (Nothing about the weather, just fancy a walk with the misses.)
  16. Hello MR CB and Coasty, yes rummbles abound here in Eastbourne. :-)
  17. Well, my apple tree started blossoming the other day, ive heard that this can sometimes be seen as a sign of possible pork chops for my dinner.... Edit: sorry boredom got the better of me, my birthdays on may the 1st and i was going to have a BBQ dognamit!
  18. Eastbourne crew still alive and kicking then i see! Same as the above 2 posts really except to add the thunder rumbled on throughout the night, i heard/saw about 4 seperate squally storms up to 5ish this morning. Bit tired this morning now...
  19. Aaaah, i noticed Mr Corbett sees deep low pressures in a similar way to me,add on the wind flow and it looks just like water being flushed down a toilet. Bless him.
  20. Lol, come on mate, i wasnt being funny to you. From comparing those models from the ones you were showing a day or 2 ago the colder uppers are now progged to be even further north. I said before they were marginal but they are even more so now.
  21. I see the cold uppers are slowly retreating north on those quirky models as the time gets nearer, everyone did say they were not reliable for us, only Moscow.
  22. 7.5c here in Eastbourne and heavy rain all morning so far. YUCK.
  23. Lol, not being selective with your models now are you yammers?!
  24. -4 uppers for here, need it colder than that to even make it marginal this time of year surely?
