Colder than forecast here this morning at -0.8c with a dew point of -2.1c and the sun is rising in clear skies.
Saw the precip is heading into Norfolk with snow on its eastern edge so the lower 850’s must have hung on there
I did have sun for 10 mins.
Now clouded over..

Just woke up to snow incoming on radar.
Will it get here?

I don't know when it was last, that I had 5 inch layer of ice on my pond for days on end...
Pretty cold here compared to alot of winters.
Not much snow so far.
But daytime temps have been very low.
For 2 weeks at a time.

Ladbible online going for a snow bomb...dated 20/01/23
Just read an article
to have a decent amount of snow again as the next month begins.
This seems to be heading in off the sea from Greenland, hitting on the north of Ireland and the west of Scotland on February 2, before heading on down across large parts of Scotland and into the northern England over the course of the next day or so.
According to a report in the Daily Star, Netweather’s forecaster Nick Finnis said that a ‘high latitude blocking towards Greenland’ will bring a ‘-NAO’ towards us.
That means a North Atlantic Oscillation dragging cold air towards us in a negative phase.
In layman’s terms, that means ‘wintry precipitation’ will be visited upon us.
Ladbible then went on to say how we could get a polar vortex

Watching netweather do the hokey cokey with the snow symbols on forecast.
3pm snow,3pm rain,3pm snow,3 pm nothing lol.
That's what it's all about apparently
Think it's worth a lamppost watch here in colchester tomorrow late afternoon....

Courts been just signing off on them without even looking at individual cases

Sounds like you will be burping and squeaking from both ends later then
cold cuts of gammon & turkey with Jacket spuds and salad on the lunch menu here today washed down with a very nice Chardonnay smoked salmon and prawn canapés for this evening with cocktails my baileys cheesecake seems to be disappearing quickly either someone had a midnight feast or a very early breakfast
Much better day here weather wise - touch of frost first thing, blue sky and sunshine, felt quite warm sitting in the tub watching the squirrels play - back to the telly box now, will have square eyes soon
Woke up to a very clean kitchen.
Seems a fairy came in the night to clean for me.
Bless my sweet Maisey
So been watching the box and eating all day
Hope you enjoying yourselves.
Have you seen that chart for nye?
I believe that when I see it out the window

The radar is wrong it’s got snow over Worthing, nothing is falling from the sky
The radar doesn't say what's actually falling.
I sat all day under pink a few yrs back and it was because the dew points were so low it was too dry.
Nothing was making land fall.
More showers bubbling up over the south east over Clacton area..
-
Stuff bubbling out of nowhere to the east of Norwich..
Could this be the right time for some streamers to appear?
-
I am thinking that lot to the sw is further north than was modeled.
Some people in the sw and South looking to get a nice few flakes I think.
No idea what way it will track...
