It's best it didn't it will be 12 degrees and raining heavily come the weekend. You want snow to be deep and crisp and even for more than 10 minutes lol

    I'd take a few days !

Not up in temps by much untill at least Sunday here.

Once it's on the ground it cools everything.

    With no rain.

It would stick around long enough for kids to enjoy sledging etc.

It's stalled at Belgium, what will it do?

Seems to be crawling upwards to me?

Nope no point, nothing reaches anywhere near here till tomorrow,  if it makes it here, waiting up for us is silly.

    I won't be watching it.

But for now it seems to be nudging upwards... don't know for how long though...

Well obviously I now am singing Come on Irene too-ra-loo-ra.. but it's my birthday and I've had wine, whilst wishing for snow.

Knee deep in snow I am told when I was born in 1979.

    Happy birthday 🎂

Ec op 12z showed something along these lines. Doesn’t look like it’s part of the main system which is due to head se on its intended path Isle of Arran in and n Humber out

It showed the light snowfall through the Cheshire gap  in the early hours and extending into the e midlands before petering out away from a line n of stoke - derby - Lincoln as the shortwave system moves across during the day

I would assume other higher res models picked this up aswell

as for Chelmsford - that’s very isolated looking at the radar !

That was earlier this morning at about 6am precipitation was over colchester  chelmsford even Rochester on radar.

That's why I am looking to see where the rest is going 😃

After that wonderful 12z yesterday the 18 and 00 have decided to kill any hope dead!

On the plus side it does mean I can go to bed without sitting watching the lamp post/radar for the next couple of nights.

Looks like a nice mild spell coming up which I am more than happy with tbh, all this cold with no result is just making me sad!

I'd look at the track of that low on the radar, to the north of us right now 😏

    It's very exciting.

Snow as low as chelmsford so far??

It depends really, Norfolk usually have a better chance, especially close to The Wash and that northern stretch of coast. You guys aren't entirely off the table, being more inland, but I have already resigned myself to not getting any of the white stuff being tucked away where the North Sea meets the Thames.

Wait for the possible pivot of that lp system..
