In anticipation of dryer weather I have just installed the rain today app to my iPhone ... 15% chance currently of rain for me today... Bet it was off the scale a couple of weeks ago. Also bought weatherpro to keep an eye on things regionally over next few days.. Lets hope it is a good purchase
Your getting right into this weather malarky lately PB ,good stuff AWD brief evaluation !!!!dont think i got enough wine left to read a detailed outlook

With all this up coming potential of cold weather, where is mullender?Sking?I seem to remember in recent times we get are best spells of cold weather when he's not around !!!!
-
What is the percentage of the UK getting a cold spell if a SSW occurred going on the the past say fifty years? Or how many cold spells have we had that correlates to a SSW(same question)?
-
I've said before i think it would be be great if there was a thread dedicated to members summaries,Gibby's,Winters tale, frosty (all excellant) And let this thread hunt for coldwhich is why he does a summary update twice a day to reflect what the models are showing . if the models show something totally different in 12 hours, so will his summary.
Damn my bad thought we were in hunt for cold thread, more tea please vicar
-
Dont quite get that answer , just saying for a reasoned analysis if there was a thread for a summary as gibbys would n,t that be good ....?As this thread is dedicated to the model-output, it seems sensible for Gibby's summaries to be included. The fact that there might be one, two, even three colder-than-average ensemble members doesn't really detract from what he's saying IMO...
The models are not the weather...the weather does not have multiple runs.
-
Would'nt gibby's excellant anylasis be better suited to a specific thread (members forecast thread) instead of being lost in the fast paced model discussion thread ?
-
could you expand on this ec 32 idea in more detail?Agree on this, although the question is also how much milder, and how far north in my mind. And again all this tallies with the ec32 modelling of late.
-
What a great outlook floaty ,optimistic good on you...I would say todays hype on the radio and some weather forecasts on tv,is due to the met o update, which still now has a level 3 alert in place, also a tasty outlook.(updated at neary 3pm this afternoon. After all this mornings outputs.
I remember someone saying it,but i will say it again. The models are not the weather.
The met o have some great gear for forcasting, atm they still on the cold side of the fence.
The outlook for next week from monday to next weekend still says snow accumulations possible?
