  1. The sun is trying to break through here although there is still a large amount of mid to high level cloud to inhibit convection anyway. Still reached 25c without the sun earlier. May try to see the welsh storms as they pass out to the Irish sea later - anything to see some lightning !!!!
  2. It has intensified a little on the last radar loop. Looks like it may actually reach here. Time to sit in the garden and listen.
  3. The good old wirral storm shield has spread itself down to north east wales. We didn't want to keep it all to ourselves.
  4. Just watching that one myself. Even if it means a small drive !!! Anything to see a storm this year Still at 26c here as well
  5. Your right. At present it is building over us and then disappating just as quickly. Needs just a little more forcing.
  6. Large towers appearing over north of liverpool looking from the wirral. Hoping North wales can brew us a storm over the next few hours.
  7. Haven't spoken to Mr P for a while. Yesterday was strange but todays cooler temps with an onshore breeze here on the coast has stopped any convection. Cape and Li looking good next week .
  8. If the dee doesn't kill it the wirral storm shield will. Had torrential rain last night but still haven't had any thunder this year.
  9. Hi Paul, It's been a cool afternoon here aswell. Not expecting anything but you never know. The cell south of Manchester on a parallel with you is still strong .
  10. I'm on the Wirral and we have an anvil approaching from that direction. Hopefully it will keep going till dark.
  11. Heavy rain here now from a very dark based cell but no thunder !!! YET Edit :- torrential downpour now
  12. Loads of deep convection on the wirral now which ever direction you look in. Temp still above 23c so hopefully .....................!!!!
  13. Radar watching and reading the reports/viewing photo's is some compensation for those who don't have storms and still adds to the excitement. Just to add we now have Alt cas drifting in with a very mild easterly breeze with temp at 20.4c humidity at 60% and dewpoint 12c Here's hoping for tomorrow and hope it's a good one if you get a storm
  14. And a north westener !!!!!! Have fun down south guys and save some for August when I go back to Devon
  15. What a superb photograph. Absolutley stunning
  16. I'm always lurking just don't get much time to post. Was going to take a drive out tonight but will save it for the weekend now. Still no storms here this year.
  17. Probably give you a good downpour and then die as they reach here like the last lot. Watched your earlier downpour develop while at work by Ellesmere port.
  18. Sferics now showing in the Leeds/Bradford area
  19. The latest UKMO charts have actually shifted the low further north so there is a risk that there could be heavy snow in parts of the North West.
  20. Is it worth taking the kids to Thurstaton common yet Stephen ?
  21. It needs to carry on throwing it down to forn a slushy base so it can stick. Fingers crossed it will last.
  22. That is the problem here. Heavy snow falling but too wet and warm to stick at present.
  23. Very unusual for here but even the lightest precipitation has been snow and normally in marginal situations all we see is rain.
  24. Stopped here on the coast now and I can see blue skies to my north over Liverpool.
