BBC forecast at 1730 has the NW under snow from teatime tomorrow. Today's max on the coast was 1.1c and it's currently below freezing already. As long as dew points are ok i'm sure it will be snow if the ppn does make it this far north.
Thanks for reminding us Teits.
In all seriousness the northern limit of these encroaching fronts always seems to be overplayed and I wouldn't be suprised to see the front modeled even further south on the next couple of runs.
The westerly element to the wind will bring the showers straight off the irish sea. Not convinced they will be snow here but a few miles inland should get a good covering tomorrow.
Stop dreaming paul  It'll be snow by the time it clears through . There are signs of high level instability showing at present(or is it the stella i'm cooling off with)
Two anvils now in view towards my south (north wales area) although nothing showing on the radars yet. Difficult to see properly but appear to be mid to high level convection.
Watching some nice convection taking place over north wales at present. Just the beginnings of an anvil taking shape. Fingers crossed for no 2 storm after last nights bonus
