  1. BBC forecast at 1730 has the NW under snow from teatime tomorrow. Today's max on the coast was 1.1c and it's currently below freezing already. As long as dew points are ok i'm sure it will be snow if the ppn does make it this far north.
  2. Thanks for reminding us Teits. In all seriousness the northern limit of these encroaching fronts always seems to be overplayed and I wouldn't be suprised to see the front modeled even further south on the next couple of runs.
  3. A nice covering here now !!
  4. Can now confirm sleet falling on the Wirral straight onto frozen roads. Caution required I think
  5. Right on the coast here. It's 0c and dp-2. May start as rain but I believe we will see some wintry precipitation.
  6. Just had a read of the other regions and even where it started as rain in the Midlands it has turned to snow
  7. A bit off topic but did you get the thunder yesterday morning Stephen ?
  8. The westerly element to the wind will bring the showers straight off the irish sea. Not convinced they will be snow here but a few miles inland should get a good covering tomorrow.
  9. Fantastic effort with that. Will pick myself off the floor in a mo !!!! :winky:
  10. There has been some local flooding but not really anything exceptional
  11. Staying up it is then. Can you see the lightning yet Paul ?
  12. Is that cell electrified paul. May stay up if it is.
  13. Stop dreaming paul  It'll be snow by the time it clears through . There are signs of high level instability showing at present(or is it the stella i'm cooling off with)
  14. I've made mine from a black bag to cover all outcomes !!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Can we have our storms back please scotland !!!!!!!!!! Still 28c here and thats on the coast although humidity is lower today.
  16. Two anvils now in view towards my south (north wales area) although nothing showing on the radars yet. Difficult to see properly but appear to be mid to high level convection.
  17. sorry to hear it's affected your business so badly.
  18. Watching some nice convection taking place over north wales at present. Just the beginnings of an anvil taking shape. Fingers crossed for no 2 storm after last nights bonus
  19. That will be the storm over the wirral from 2.20am till roughly 3.30. Not of great intensity but two cg's and a lot of ic. 1st of the year.
  20. Showers are continuing to break out over mid wales. Probably won't amount to much but .................................
